Yes, this is indeed rushed, and lacks the feeling of genuine heartache that the Bonnie and G. Michael versions have. This is not to say that Adele does not know how to do heartache, vocally; "Someone Like You" proved that, but she does seem out of her element, here.

It is something that she has seem SOMEBODY ELSE do and is only doing it to take some cool points, as Bon Iver is clearly a lot more musically adept and if we're being honest, cooler than her. Adele has a stunning voice and 1 or 2 great original songs, but stealing this cover IDEA for personal recognition is not what covering music is about...in my eyes!

She has remarkable raw vocal talent, but so far everything I've heard by her is in the same turn-it-up-to-11 belting style, which gets dull after about 30 seconds. But I don't know her work well, so it's possible I might yet be convinced.

As far as this particular performance goes, agreed this isn't a patch on Bonnie's aching original, although it's alright. Lots of technical pizzazz, not much feeling or character.
