super mario brothers 3 was difficult, maybe too much for its own good. world 8 is intense! but the levels were brilliantly designed. super mario world is easier and with less "condensed" levels, but the world map and save function definately modernizes the franchise. they're both amazing games, but for different reasons.
Does it just fade out like that because I beat the game like three times and it just stays like that. I just beat it again and it stayed like that for five minutes now and I pressed A and Start a whole bunch and other buttons but it doesn't work. I also have it for wii does that make a difference?
some games have infinate or game-terminating endings. they force you to reset the console so it's like you never beat the game (and thus, there's no "happily ever after" story in the game). they'd have to make all new dialogue for everyone in the game to let you play after the ending.
some games have these endings that really shouldn't:
in paper mario, the same infinate-ending forces you back to a path right before the final boss fight. you can choose to go back or fight, but there isn't a "post-ending" world without bowser. plus, the way out of bowser's castle is RIDICULOUS!!!
in metroid prime 3 (a recent example), the game deletes your position and forces you to retry the ENTIRE GAME at a higher difficulty. you can't explore past levels after that.
it's an awesome fight! but i'd recommend to duplicate your file before you get too far into bowser's castle. getting out would take a ridiculous amount of time, especially with all the enemies everywhere. beat bowser with one file and the game with another.
This guys should've went in door # 3 first then door number 8. Door number 3 is so much easier. If you have the cape you just have to twist the football guys to death.
I remember my first time beating Bowser. I was so happy...
This is my favorite 2D Mario. I definitely think it betters Mario 3.

but it really wasn't that challanging. not even the toughest of the tough levels could compare to anything in world 8 from super mario brothers 3.
world is far less brutal and cynical. i guess that's enough to like it more :)
