@jhudak53 UT fans are so used to booing their team that they get confused. I noticed while attending the Oregon game at Knoxville last year that they boo their team often and love to fight one another in the stands while arguing over whose family has experienced the most inbreeding.
im still in high and its only my 2nd yr there. im in the band and i plan on doing this when i go to college. i live in the great state of tennessee. my band director is the frist woman to be the drum major for the ut marching band. im glad to have her as my teacher.

And the trombones in OSU's band are quite strong.. i encourage you to take a listen since you are a "band director". sad. really sad.

Um....I went to watch Clemson play Virginia several years ago during Thomas Jones' senior year. Tennessee had an open date, and a friend of mine was a friend of Thomas, so we drove 3 hours to watch him. Anyway, the most impressive thing about Clemson was running down the hill. When was anything said about the ACC?! You people always have to hide behind the "SEC". Just to get something straight... Clemson people don't go around talkig about the conference. We worry about Clemson! Besides, if you want to talk about the conference... The ACC is back! If you havn't noticed, we have undergone the same transition y'all did a few years ago; and that is having 12 teams now. The ACC has had a few down years, but I have a feeling we are coming back around.
i'm an Auburn tiger band geek graduate.a TN boy from Overton high school.i love to hear the great SEC bands, but no school graciously plays the "opposing" teams fight song at pre-game...this only happens at UT...this is a first class gesture that even i, an aubie boy appreciates...my blood runs orange & blue, but, when i hear rocky top, i bleed orange inside...it is a tribute to the UT band program that they honor the "opposing" team at every home game...a great tradition

Yes. Bill Williams is the announcer for the Pride of the Southland Band. The same guy that does Monday's Child and alot of the heartland series. He's an absolutely great man.

I think your right , the only thing that beats it has to be a team running through an open T formed perfectly by 300+ humans. How could running down a hill on the rag, or whatever you said, be better that. It can't UT's pregame is truly "a tradition unrivaled"

Yes. Bill Williams is the announcer for the Pride of the Southland Band. The same guy that does Monday's Child and alot of the heartland series. He's an absolutely great man.

im a buckeye but im very impessed by the UT pride of the southland band.our OSU band is pretty damn good as well.i like our military style pregame ramp entrance and the buckeye battle cry better than script ohio.

This is so true, and now espn is trying to say the big 12 is the best, the reason why is because the big 12 doesn't have more than 4 teams that are are to beat you week in and week out. If an sec team loses out of conference its probably because their bodies have been beat up in sec play. I guarantee Texas Oklahoma and TT and USC would survive
