Next time you go into a restaurant let your server know how you feel up front! As soon as you sit down let them know how you feel about tipping. My guess is you don't have the "balls" to make that statement. I waited on couple of tennis champions on 4 differents occasions (same people) and due to their status I was instructed to take extra care of them. I was ROYALLY STIFFED by them ALL 4 TIMES. If ONLY their parents had taken the time to educate their kid protogies about manners in life instead pushing them to win championships!

Tipped employees are taxed on their revenue
If they present a check for $100.00 to a douche, IRS requires them to report @ least 10% of $100 as the earned tip. That is the law, look into it.

In major city people usually tip at least 15%, 20% for good service.
