My little children were in tears last night out of frustration over a cricket hidden somewhere in their bedroom...made me think of this song from back in the day..."cheepy, cheepy, cheepy, cheepy, cheepy, cheepy, cheepy!".
Government Cheese has been my favourite band ever since I first got to know Skott Willis back in the day in Bowling Green when he worked at Nat's. I have all of the studio albums and they are on my Ipod. If I ever become rich I would pay these guys a million dollars each to play some shows!
Awesome! I saw Government Cheese in Charleston WVa in 1990 at this bar called The Levee. After the gig, there was a fight, and one of the band members suffered a broken jaw.
I don't know what compelled me to google for this song today, but I'm so happy to see this clip on YouTube. Thanks for posting this, and for helping an old lady relive her 90s memories.
I saw the next night's show after the fight. No lead singer, broken jaw. The band went on and did a great show without Scott. This band was the backdrop for some of my best night's out!
who keeps messing with my website? lol
