  • I can get alot of the lowend out of a sample by using a compressor with a lowend EQ boost (or envolope filter) sidechained to it

with a fast enough attack and release setting you can eliminate the kick and snare indavidually

    check out videos about sidechaining

  • Whats good with the mic??? I keep waiting for the knocking to stop but it just keep coming!!! Sounds like you're moving it like crazy while filming

  • @bornzo99 lol sorry bro, my mic was acting up and I had to use a different one.

  • @ahchouch reason

  • Not sure what the sample is but if you join any crate digging community and post the link to the vid in their discussion forum and I'm sure someone would easily be able to identify the sample.

  • Just put a High Pass Filter and your ready!

  • whats the name of the sampled track? dont make me find it myself, because i will, and i will spend valuable time finding it that will make the time i have for making music minimal, and that means i will cry and feel depressed, and when i'm depressed i just lay in my bed and eat snacks, and that makes my bed messy and full of chips and that itch. please Sir Flex, make my life a bit easier and tell me (or upload) the track you sampled :) (not trolling, just trying to put a smile on your face:))

  • @mentaltfladdrig well to bad my friend crate digging is part of the job, anyway why would you want this one? not rly usefull in my opinion

  • Latimore let me go

  • thanks dude! I took an hiatus on trying to learn how to sample, because i could never find out how to takeout drums or alter them.

  • when i refer to filtering, mainly what that iiiiiiis is: i'm gonna add a filter...

    I'm gonna add a filter!

  • I want that SAX!!

  • can you give me please name of music

  • suck

  • whos playing on the recording?

  • its a sax loser

  • It's Dr. Rex ; a module inside of Reason.

  • @sirflex10 yes!

  • What software is this?

  • STOP FUCKING WITH THEFUCKING MIC FUCK DREAD

  • Dang..lol Ya'll are killing me with the Oprah comments...lol

  • someone's momma sounds like Oprah ;) Srsly tho, this video is a great explanation of the application of low-pass and high-pass filters for music werk. A little shaping/cleanup after the filtering, and the original track would become a whole new feature - for decoration, rhythm, or however. Peace dat!

  • What program(s) are you using in this video??

  • @tonitrouble59 everybody samples!if you knew anything about music then you would of already knew that noob!

  • that was a saxophone. not a trumpet. lol

  • i appreciate the effort, but this is one sort of tip, and then a suggestion that doesn't work, and you can't get it to work. cute son, though.

  • trk by latamore let me go, or something like that

  • from what song is that sample from

  • what sample are you using

  • Nice video. Keep up the Great work! Bedrock Style!

  • what's the name of the song?

  • awsome video

  • Whats The Name Of This Program?

  • What program is that

  • @matea1995

    Are you fucking serious?!

  • kurwa, waliłeś konia oglądając ten film? ciągle słychać jakieś stukanie i pierdy w tle

  • this is pretty noobish how about using an audio editor...

  • @tuffsoul

i agree, his video-making style could be greatly refined

  • this is pretty noobish

  • which program are u using? :s

  • @qazwery reason

  • @qazwery reason / recycle

  • do you know how to remove all the instrumentals and the vocals but the drums from a song? ...

  • hey man i just want to ask you about this program, can i have this program,, thanks man...

  • You sound like Prince.

  • how do you do that in logic pro 8 ?? i need to remove the drums from the song i wish you love- grant green its only the light piano...?

  • this is good info for new beat makers

  • are you kicking cans, whats all the noise

  • instead of spending ages dicking around with a filter you coulda just used an equaliser to boost the frequency range of the instrument you would like to keep, then turn all the other frequencys down with the gain knob, then apply a gate (which can be found in the rv7000 reverb unit) this (When done correctly) will definately work & will be twice as fast, the only issues you are going to have are with samples where more then one instrument use the same fequency range, eg. brass and vocals.

  • you suck bro, fuck the filter off, if you need a tutorial to remove drums from a sound u may as well quit making beats. select one of your middle parametric bands (not the shelf ones) and set the Q setting to fine (turn all the way to the right) then turn the gain all the way down (so a really thin section is cut, then while the loop is playing sweep through the frequency range until you find where the instrument your cutting sits (until you can hardly hear it) then widen the Q & voila its gone

  • @treblemc do that to get rid of your snare, Then do the same to cut out your hihats (do a cut somewhere near the high end to remove the hats) then do a low cut to remove the kicks, basically what you have done is reduce the volume of the frequency's that the snare, hat & kick are sitting - THEN use a compressor to boost the overall sound and put a gate on it so that any sound below the gate's threshold cannot be heard. this will remove any tiny sound of the drums that may still be heard

  • G, help those three knobs are not highlighted in my recycle program is there something u have to enable first for them to work?

  • to much noise Bro

  • can you add vst to reason 4.0?

  • @FiSTFigHT09 no

  • @FiSTFigHT09 no, but you can export each track and import in cubase, nuendo, protools...

  • friend i have some questions about puting drums to a sample whats your msn so I can hit u up?

  • no dude sounds like Oprah

  • Dang...Oprah...lol

  • you sound like 9th wonder.

  • any tips 4 the mpc users on how to remove/lower drum sounds?

  • is the a sort of backing track site for the drums ? to play along with songs

  • Cool!!!

  • dude sounds lyk mark wahlberg llf

  • This is big help man!! really preciate it!!!

  • hey my brother whats the name of the song u were playin in recycle ???????

  • Click preview toggle first. And using drum clean up will only make the drums more prominent.

  • 'preciated

  • u could also use vocoder to filter even better

  • The program is Reason 4.0

  • Hey man, great tutorial, really appreciate your hard work.. Thanks

  • Yo man! Your son was laying the smacketh down on that mic stand. Please keep the lessons coming!

  • there is nothing in Recycle that says "remove drums"

  • It's actually "drum cleanup"

  • ok sorry i didnt see the end till just now... lol disregard my last message...

  • Sorry about the background noise, my 6 month old son was wrestling with the mic stand, I didn't notice until it was too late...lol
