I would just buy a netbook, you can connect it to a keyboard, mouse, and monitor like a nettop would, and besides that you can use it on the go like in a car. So basicly I consider a netbook as a convertible.
@butterscotchcom good point, but the one I saw had windows 7, not vista, so it's a pretty good deal, but this video was posted before windows 7 came out I think, but I mean, if you want a cheap awesome computer, this is the one to buy, it has a really good amount of hard drive for the size of it and the graphics card is a geforce 9400m gpu (nvidia ion.)
@MrPickelish what u have seen in bestbuy is the less powered computer. I own the less powered system. (bought @ bestbuy) key feature are missing. not running vista nor has most of the feature mention in this video.
@knowsnos yes I know that computer, they no longer sell that computer, thank god, it is a rip off, I went ahead and made myself a computer for $325, a bargain right, so just because a computer has some nice features and is cheap, doesn't mean it's a bargain, in fact it's only good for watching the occasional movie in 1080p or checking email, even though the nVidia ion chipset is in it, the processor sucks bawls.
@TheRedBullRacer: I was wondering the same thing, looks like you gotta plug it into the headphone out. Maybe you can output audio throught hdmi as well.
You can get the Linux, 2Gb, 320Gb HDD version without the webcam, but with the mouse, keyboard and VESA mount for about US$250 delivered on ebay. It's about $70 more for the Windows 7 version.
how about a demo???

flatin12 1 year ago
@flatin12 No optical drive. That means no. You'd have to buy an external one or work off of ISOs onto a USB drive or a virtual driver (Windows only.)

I just got one for £110 and i think its great for that price. Even at full price it is still ok for the price, although the processor is quite slow

I saw this at bestbuy for $199.99, so $400.00 I don't think so.

@MrPickelish Have you considered the price may have gone down or the manufacturer altered their pricing structure?

@MrPickelish look at the date of this video, it's almost a year old. Prices on electronics (especially computer electronics) go down fast.

@MrPickelish The $199.99 model is the single core processor, and that one does NOT have the ION chipset.
