yea basically what you do is go to the store, buy everything and just dump it in the water. Wanna rise the pH level for some reason? not a problem, just throw handfull of somethings in there. yea, that will do!
what if you start your own waaaaaaaaaay bettttttttttttttttttttttttttttttter video and leave this woman alone, HER VIDEO HER WAY..you are so jealous...kick rocks
Is this why all my customers come in with dirty ponds? ;) Microbelift is awsome, but your filter is tiny and too clean. Gallons for your pond is length x width x depth x 7.4...that looks small for 7000 gals. Microbelift makes a gel innoculant that works great for quick seeding seeding of your filters...that you clean as little as possible 1 or 2 times a year. Thats why you pump clean water from a skimmer....anyways sorry to get into a tangent enjoy your fish!
I don't know if I would have put stuff in the pond to kill the mosquito larva... Those sunfish and goldfish would of gobbled those up. At least I would imagine they would.
City water has chlorine in it. Cleaning your filters with it is wrong!! Chlorine in the water kills the beneficial bacteria. You should use a bucket of pond water or well water to clean filter pads. You will NOT grow good bacteria by cleaning your filters constantly with chlorinated water!! You have to allow the bio system to work on its own. Fixalls and constant cleaning will not ensure clear water. Information presented in this vid is not only wrong, it will ensure cloudy water...
Inexpensive solutions; DIY bio/mech. filters, uv filters when installed correctly will guarantee healthy clear water without having to dump "fixalls" in every week. Dumping anything, whether organic or chemical based into your pond without measuring or knowing the application is not smart! Additionally, Lava rock has a shelf life, clogs easily,is pricey to constantly replace. Not the media you want to be recommending to pond owners when other better less expensive options are available.
Vague information like this that's being presented as "educational" material for pond owners is dangerous and can cost you. Boasting that "high PH is good for your fish" is wrong. Adding barley and beneficial bacteria (undiluted and incorrectly I might add) will not ensure clear water. Clear water is not always healthy water. I highly recommend that pond owners read up on how to naturally adjust their water quality. Learn how your water works!! Its simple.
Im sorry but the pond looks cloudy... then the bacteria is not working that well am I right? use Ultra Clear product i had lots of good resolts with that .. and man are u serious wit that kind of filter system.. not workin the filter is for small pond, your pond is at least 1000 to 2,000 gal. rith so you need at least 2 Bio 2000 filter with UV lights inside plus change to matala filter pads.. is not workin and you know it
Man.....you need to research more. You have given a lot of mis-information and incorrect term usage. It seems that you may have learned a little to much from all the other mis-informed YouTUBE videos.
I couldn't have put it better. She knows a little, but is obviously not informed well enough to give information and advice to others. YouTubers, get your information elsewhere.
i don't think you're supposed to pour right out of the bottle. aren't you meant to mix a measured amount with a certain volume of pond water in a bucket then evenly distribute it around the pond?
Great video, just a small point. You shouldn't clean out your filters with the hose because the chlorine in the water will kill all that beneficial bacteria. Instead use water from your pond.
Im a 26 year old guy and just mooved into my first house. The house came with a small coy pond (minus the fish). The pond has been frozen all winter and has now defrosted. It is filled with leaves and all kinds of stuff.....what is the best way to rehab it so it is clear and not murky and smelly?
Hey i have a little goldfish in a little pond and his name is nemo hes been in it before i moved into the house he lets me pet him like a cat he trusts me that much because i feed him all the time but its amazing how he lets me pet him like a cat.i will get some videos together with in the next week so everyone can see
Goldfish are social and your fish would love some company! You can get some common goldfish from Walmart for 25 cents each...I did and I've had them in my very little pond for over 3 years! I can pet them all, too!

If you have well water you can use the hose to clean and fill your pond! No nasty city chemicals!

Hi pati! Great job you're doing on the videos. I'm half-way watching all of them! Just a quick question...
where do you get your edible fish? And another question ... what happens when winter comes? Would the fishes die?

Ever considered using a solar powered pond filter/fountain? Or, is that not practical where you are?
