When I was a kid, taking music lessons in a local music store, i had the opportunity to play B3's regularly. There were always two or three on the sales floor, most decked out with two Leslies. Talk about awesome instruments! I'd love to have one.

I beleive a Hammond Organ was a gift from heaven, that was an angel that came down in the form of man to create that sound! Nothing on earth ever had a heavenly sound like it! The harp is nice, but that Hammond probally could make an evil spirt want to jump up & shout!

I tell my friends that Hammonds are alien tech. left here when a space craft crashed near Chicago in the 1920's. Did you know that Mr. Hammond also invented 3D glasses and could not play or sing? I think he was an alien. LOL

Why is it that the B-3 looks so much wider than an a-100 from the right angle??

After first picking up the guitar in 1993, I've always considered myself a strong fan of guitar with a minor interest in keyboards - namely the B3 and the Rhodes.

I can't stop watching this video. That organ has such a raw and incredible sound; I think I may start playing the keyboard.

all i have is a yamaha psr 185... crappy synth from the 1990's, but it works.

maybe i could get an electro harmonix harmonic octave generator to use as drawbars for my keyboard?

it's never going to sound as good as a Hammond, but it could at least sound better...

if you still care, you can always check craigslist for a hammond spinet: M3, M-100, or L-100. lots of videos on here, you can get pretty damn close to the B3 sound for a couple hundred bucks...or i guess theres B4...

Same here. I just got a Hammond XM1 that's about 5 years old. It's got the best Hammond Organ Simulation I've ver heard. All you need a is a keyboard with midi. You might want to try one.
