You could tell by the audience reaction when they were saying the shows nominated and when they got to Hair the cheering was so much more intense. At that point you knew they just had to win (:

Original production should have won when it was nominated back in 1969- the year of Woodstock! Still, it left behind a legacy that produced this revival, and it thoroughly deserved the win- take that, 1776!!! PEACE.

um, i saw west side story, karen olivo and the set were really the only great parts. i heard that Hair was amazing.
