I told him what I've already said. "Don't let it worry you, there are always a few nasty people in the world and there always will be. Most people are good." I admit it hurt, but you have to think postive, things are getting better for people with disabilities.
Don't let it worry you, there are always a few dickheads in the world and there always will be. Most people are OK and mean well, though some can be patronising. Society still as a long way to go, but we will get there. I have a 10 year old son who uses a wheelchair. Last year he was surounded by 4 youths and called alsorts of names. Though he is clever he couldn't understand why they were so nasty.He had done nothing but be born different.
This is an amazing story - thank you for sharing this experience - hard to believe in2007 and there are still such hateful people in the world. Hope they enjoy the bad karma they are creating. As you reap, so shall you sow......
Just about everyone is 'handicapped' at some point in life.
Anyone who would paint 'FREAK' on a handicapped parking space must have been brought up wrong, and not realize that their actions reflect on the entire community at large.
It's an offense against the entire community.
They should have dumbass painted across their forehead in durable paint.
