Iran Air was the best airline in the world back in the 70s and it still has some amazing pilots. The most senior of them who mostly don't fly now a days were all trained by NASA and the US Air Force back in the late 60s up to the mid 70s. Now they train the young Persian pilots. True that Iran has some shitty old planes, but that's because of their foreign policy and the dumbass president and etc. Let's not mix politics with aviation...hope to see a reformed Iran one day...great country!
