  • really nice performance of a good arrangement of an incredibly bittersweet song

  • great job!

  • What kind of classical guitar are you playing? Not that it really matters. It is, after all, the player and sometimes not so much the guitar. But that said, it remains an interest. Very very nice interpretation and beautifully performed.

    Nick Campbell

  • Two wonderful things happened to me today:

    1. I discovered the music of Elliane Elias

Needless to say, I will be on youtube, a lot in the coming days, learning all of your beautiful arrangements. You are a musical genius.

  • QUALITY HOME MUSIC VIDEO- BRAVO !!!

  • I hope you wrote something good!... :D

  • Thank you for your returning message to me!

I appreciate much mellow music given into beauty itself.

I'm Japanese man 30,I'm afraid I asked your identity of what nationality you are.

Anyway, I would listen more music your produce...GANBATTE SOSITE ARIGATOU!

  • Gosh, that's so nice! Good camera setup, good recording, good reverb, good arrangement, good playing. You are an angel!

  • That was stunning.

    So beautiful.

    So well performed.

    Bravo, my friend, bravo.

  • Not bad, but you missed a few parts. See my band's version of "Look of Love" (at my youtube page) for a lesson on how to properly cover a Bacharach tune and, keep working!

  • Jeez. You are an ugly person.

    Why?

    What made you so ugly?

    Live and let live.

  • I'd have to agree with your first comment. Not sure if it's genetic or due to a steady diet of whiskey and corn nuts.

As for the "live and let live" sentiment, I think we both know that's not gonna happen.

  • hey arnosiemons.....i love the kind of person like u that......give themselves the right to criticize without bringing anything on the table :)..... get a life and....learn how to play...then....open it!

    overlord74: 1000 times....amazing job. i love ur version!

  • Hi, my comment was not referring to this wonderful guitarplayer and version of Alfie. I reacted to a very blunt person somewhere earlier in this comments section.

  • ok...then......Sorry :) thanks for..answering!

  • Hi! I did a bad thing, I borrowed your exceptional version of the best song in the world. I just had to sing to it, I can remove it if you'd like that? Whach the video? sorry

  • Now that's an arrangement! That b9 in those last A chords! Whoa! Thanks and post more stuff like this please!

  • wonderful! :D

  • muy hermoso. Muy hermoso!!!

  • Bravo!

  • Perfect arrangement. I've tried "Alfie" myself on classical guitar, and somehow the song just sounds perfect in that medium. BTW, Bill Frisell's solo arrangement of "What the World Needs Now" is another beautiful marriage of guitar and Bacharach. But this is just as good!

  • beautiful

  • wonderfully done, full of feeling in the music.

    A+++!!

  • Wonderful version.

  • I stumbled onto this while watching my own Youtube performance of "Alfie". This is so beautifully done, I'm nearly in tears! Thank you so very much for sharing this with us! One of my all-time favorites and I don't think I've heard it done any lovelier.

  • yup, it's been already said but man was that a beautiful rendition...bravo!

  • this was one of the most beautiful peices of music i have ever heard, thank you

  • bellissima zzio!

  • so beautiful

  • I just love the way you pause, before you start another phrase. Sometimes these pauses create a story, a conversation, as if someone is softly speaking to convey a deep feeling.

  • Lovely stuff, well done

  • nicely played.

  • so soft, so deep... could i get just the main chords from u :(..?

  • Love Burt Bacharach! Wonderful arrangement!

  • Great, bravo.

  • you killed it! I liked it a lot...

  • That was fantastic!!! I don't suppose that you've have written out the musical arrangement to this? Or, I would even take tabs if you had it?

  • Sorry Palmer i didn't write...

  • I'm always a bit skeptical whenever I see Youtubers trying to tackle a masterpiece on their own, but you sir, have done a beautiful job. Most excellent!

  • It's gorgeous too!!!!

  • That is simply beautiful.

  • Bravo! A different take, but as much emotion as Cilla Black's vocals.

  • Simply beautiful...Thank you!

  • this guy is fantastic! this really made my day! beautiful! i too would love to hear this on a jazzer - an L-5?

  • What's that opening chord at 00:03 ?

  • Been trying to learn some of this by watching... difficult. Maybe if we ask, plead, nag, etc. he will eventually share the sheet music (hey I can read... what a novelty on You Tube lol) this is just too hard for me unless I quit my job to figure this out by watching. Let me know if you have any success.

  • sorry jimmy...but i didn't write the partiture....sure i like to share the sheet music...

I 'have to find the tima and pleasure to write it...

    Bye Jcopo

  • thanks for the note... Jcopo I am a great fan of Bacharach and your rendition of this here captures the mood, sensativity, subtlety, nuance, etc etc. If you ever write this out I would love to see it!! Thanks again.

  • Simply Amaj7....after that E7 sus4.....

  • I Would love to hear this tune on a jazz guitar...like a GB10 :)

  • bravo!!

  • so great... please let me know if you ever write this out...

  • just beautiful and emotional

  • very nice, beautiful!!!

  • Very musical, works fantastically well on the guitar. I've just put a piano arrangement by Preston Keys on my Channel (though I don't think I play the piano quite as beatifully as you play the guitar).

  • Beautiful - you make my day

    Thanx ;-)

  • Bravo!!

  • That was so worth listening to.

    Thank you very much.

  • very nice....i think burt would dig it....

  • Sounds great. Do you have tabs or sheet music?

  • No i'm sorry...maybe i will write a sheet music...

    Thanks JA

  • I truly enjoyed that. You play so well. Do you do a version of "A House is Not a Home"?

  • thnak you starlight...no i don't know this song but i will check...

  • Oh, man, that was beautiful. It's so soothing to listen to after a hard day's work, and I'm finally sitting at home nursing a glass of merlot. Thank you.
