This is funny because Rufus is the only one getting the songs through. The other guy has a great voice, but it just wasn't meant for this song, and the lady, well, she's just out of tune--the attempt at a harmony wasa fail.

I actually listened to the entire track this time and I suppose it wasn't a complete fail, it seemed like one at the start. Though the harmony was a little rocky at first, it really did get smoother farther on. I prefer the album version though--it sounds cleaner. But then again, this is a live version.

This is a song that his father composed. Ironically enough Loudon (his father) wanted to call one of his albums 'one man guy' but his manager at the time said that people would mistake him for being gay. I can't tell you why rufus picked this one to cover ;)

I was at this concert. All three sounded amazing. Yeah, Martha messed up, but she quickly recovered and it made me as big a fan of hers as Ru Ru's. And the EQ levels for his set were wonky throughout.

martha sounds off, but only the very first line!! otherwise she harmonizes beautifully. she might sound louder cuz as Stophey said maybe she was over-amplified or maybe it's cuz she's singing a higher note? also the album version has teddy and martha as backing, so their voices aren't as loudl as rufus' so maybe it throws people off to hear them split the song 3 ways. in any case i love it! so beautiful! and then there's the added bonus of 2 very good looking men singing :D

I agree with Laikalynx, she ended pulling off a great harmony at the end. I would add that before one judges her too harshly, they should listen to some of her solo work, and possibly check out her videos on youtube. I'm sure there are some better live performances there. Perhaps she was having mixing/monitor problems that night, and wasn't really singing that loudly but was over-amplified. Maybe she was having a bad night. (Maybe we should sing so well.)
