  • Hi AvaAmin i like ur tutorial....can u please show us hw u did ur scarf 4 da bigening vidoe...da white and yellow mix....thanks

  • Great job! Thanks for sharing!

  • Oh my goodness this is absolutely WONDERFUL! I just had a big chop about 2 months ago and have had no idea of what to do with it because I stay so busy and really don't always have a lot of time to do anything other than wash and moisturize my hair. I had been experimenting with wigs but really wanted to try something with less maintenance involved. So this is a LIFESAVER for me! Is there someplace on the internet where I can buy scarves like these? Thanks!

  • hey I was wondering what type of fabric you used?

  • I know this video is about the bun headwrap but I just had to say ur eyebrows are BANGIN sis ! LOL

  • B"H

    Love it! Thanks!

  • you're so pretty

  • i loved your choices of songs!!!! its gets me going!!!!1

  • So you wear head wraps all the time? its so beautiful on you.. im going to start wearing them also to protect my natural hair....

  • wow gurl!

i feel like tieing a headscarf right now. you dont know how hard i tried to tie a bun head wrap like that and the bun always falls off. but i now figures you have to tie it underneath the bun.. i like the bangs part..

  • Love your wraps,I would like to try wrapping my hair what material should I use? God Bless.

  • lovely headwrap

  • hello i never knew the name of the stretch material thank you because i wear wraps all the time and also never thought of wearing my shoulder wraps as an head wrap thanks for the video

  • Love It! well done.

  • Loved the head wrap with the fringed bangs! I thought it was very cute and I will be trying that look this summer.

  • I love it, I love it. This is a quick fix I can use on very bad hair days. My questions are...Do you ever wear wraps to work? If so, does your boss give you heat for it? I figure you can dress this look along with a suit because it does have a polish finish.

  • I wish I could be helpful with an answer, but I haven't worked in 4 years. I've been a homemaker for a few years now. When I did work, I wasn't really into headwraps and taking care of my hair THAT well, so I never experienced it. Maybe you can just go in with one (dressed up) and see what happens. Perhaps have a wig on reserve in case you have to throw something else on your head if there's an issue. Thanks for watching!

  • thanks for the great ideas, just starting chemo and was told will lose hair, so your styles are so much nicer to cope with having hair loss, would like to know where can get the cap that you where against your head, as will help with material slipping off, thanks again.

  • I'm sorry to hear you have to go through that and I wish you total success with your treatments. That cap I had on was just a regular nylon stocking cap or wig cap. You can get them from most beauty supply stores (i.e. Sally) or even some drug stores. In a drug store or Walmart, they are more likely to be in the "ethnic" hair section. Hope I was able to help. Thanks for commenting.

  • thank you for your promp replay, will have to go shopping to find some.

  • Gorgeous! So helpful and afrocentric looking x

  • Thanks doll!

  • GREAT.........i love the fringe!!!!

  • Haha yes! Someone's diggin the fringe! lol

  • I just did that with you. by the time I got the whole thing wrapped around like you did, the front part just fell to the back!! FRUSTRATION.

  • I looooooved the orange and white at the beginning!!

  • Also loved the Tracy Chapman, miss her too! Where did you get the scarves, especially the two with the fringe?

  • Thanks for the tutrial! I needed a bad hair day quick fix! I lovee this song, btw! What happened to Res?!

  • IDK what happened to her. This used to be my song!

  • Thank you much AvaAmin ... this video is much appreciated. I just came from the worst hair appoint ever, and your video has given me relief and a way to make it until my next appoint with my original stylist!

  • I'm sorry, but I laughed just a little when I read this. I guess i imagined some wacky sitcom hair situation. Glad to hear this will be helpful if you ever need it.

  • Thank you sooooo much! My mom has cancer and is losing all her hair. She asked me where she could buy a turban because she wouldn't look good in hats. So I did a google search, and then later searched here for headwraps and came across yours also.

Thank you again. For me and my mom who knew pretty much nothing about headwraps, this is a life-saver!

May God bless you and yours always!

    :-)

    Susan

  • You're very welcome, Susan. I really hope this has been helpful to both you and your mother. I hope she has great success with her fight. God bless!

  • thanks. i nedeed some new ideas on how to refresh my wraps. adding other pieces makes it more interesting to look at so that its not so boring. i can see you have just as much fun wrapping your head as i do. thanks for the inspiration!. i encourage you to keep tutoring more women on covering up. I also wear my hair natural locs. i hope more women would embrace their natural self and realize the beauty they already have instead of trying to buy it at the beauty supply store.

  • thank you so much for doing this. My mom as cancer and she needs some trick for loocking good without any fake hair. That's gonna make her so happy :) thanks again!

  • This video was great! i am fashion challenged and this gave me some ideas. I just bought a couple pieces of fabric today to start wearing headwraps and there are so many different things you did that now i want more color and im going back to the store to get that skinny scarf i liked but had no idea what to do with it. thank you!!!!!

  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I absolutely looooooooooove what I've seen so far. I noticed that you have short hair. How do you do this look with shoulder length or longer hair? Thanks in advance. I am soooooooooo happy that I've stumbled upon and subscribed to your channel.

  • Well thank you, thank you, thank you for watching! lol You know, I'd expect this to work for just about any length of hair. It would just depend of if you want to leave your own hair (ponytail) out to wrap in the twisted knot, or keep it tucked away like I do my. My hair is below my shoulders, so there is the option of twisting my hair into the knot. However, I kept my hair tightly braided down most often, as to protect the ends from and wear and tear from fabric, wigs, or daily life.

  • HI AVaAmin, your presentation is in the running meaning the best I've seen amongst a few, your beautyiful, wrap looks and worn lovely, your demonstration I give a very high rating, Thank You

OH, YOUR NAME DOES IT HAVE A MEANING?

  • Well thank you very much for watching and giving such a throroughly kind critique. From what I gather about the name, Amin means trustworthy and faithful. While Ava, I haven't been able to get a definite interpretation. It's actually my pseudonym/brand name/username that was created from parts of my family's names.

  • I love that sooooooo much!!! I work at a hospital and I really like keeping my hair covered. This look is perfect please show me how ya did it sista.... I LOVE THIS CD!!! RES IS THE STUFF LMAO

  • Glad you find this useful. Which look were you refering to? I did a bunch. lol The one at the beginning (when I was talking) I still haven't figured exactly how I did it. I'm going to have to set up the camera and try to do it again. If I do, then I can watch the playback to get the step-by-step.

I don't have this CD, and not sure why. I just used to love this song years ago, and got reminded of it shortly before making the video. I need to check out the whole album.

  • this helps alot..i am muslim & looking for new and fun ways to cover my hair....thank you sooooooo much...i actually loved the bang thingy i dunno if id rock it lol but it looked great on you!!!

  • Happy to help. Yeah the fringe bang is going to be the next big thing all over the runways. Watch. LOL

  • i love these videos, i love wearing scarves but have a hard time sometimes. thanks for the tips

  • So glad you like the video! I really hope it was able to help with your scarf-wearing difficulties. If anything, I just hope it helped you creatively play around and find something that works for you. If you think I may be able to help, let me know!

  • Aww, you look so beautiful with that head wrap!!!

  • Aw, see now you've gone and got me blushing. Thanks!

  • i was bored and i knew that all i needed was some youtube and yes your videos have been keeping me entertained

  • Hopefully entertaining in a good way. lol Either way, i'm glad I was able to help you out of a bore.

  • What kind of material do you use?

  • I use a variety of things. Stretch knit fabric, soft woven fabrics, shawls, long crocheted scarves....whatever I think would work. I don't use think wool, or sweatshirt material, or lightweight silk (silk blend might be ok),....it's all trial and error. That's what I was trying to show in the video. Just grabbing items and seeing what I can do with it. Thanks for watching. Feel free to PM me if you want long details about anything.
