For those who are curious, this was actually made by an ex-Loudness (a classic underrated japanese heavy metal band) member by the name Naoto Shibata. It was released on an album called "Perfect Selection : Dracula Battle".

It's hardly gothic by the way.

Gothic music itself doesn't really exist. Depending on which goth you ask, you'll get post punk (Bauhaus-like stuff) and other guys will simply refer you to a bunch of shit in harmonic minor.

That said, I agree, this isn't gothic. Its a spooky little theme, but its metal. Most of these old awesome video game themes sound great on electric guitar, actually. Rock and roll was quite popular at the time, after all.
