I have found that using very fine sandpaper the BEST way to tune a Brass reed. The Reed Scraper can get one in alot of trouple real fast. Whew! My channel page is playing right now :"A Reed Organ Recital" in which you can hear how well I did tuning this instrument of nearly 300 reeds.
Your video shows the tuning in sort of a crude manner, sorry. This is fine for *production* (at the factory), but such quick and aggressive tuning might break reeds. Regular folks need a GOOD chromatic tuner. Guitar tuners have range-limits, so a good strobe tuner would be ideal (strobo-flip). I support the underside of the reed with metal from a set of feeler-gauges while scraping. Improperly tuned reeds have sideways cuts that make them prone to breaking, so those should be left alone.

The video is not clear enough to see what you are doing? I am restoring a harmonium and have taken it all apart to refinish it, the wood is not a good quality but it still plays okay. I bought the book called The Harmonium Handbook that is meant to guide one in tuning but I wondered if you could help me in the interim.
