What if black plays a double atari at the middle of the lower section of the board? Wouldnt that give him a lot of profit?

I'm new to this game, so is that a good move?

@Qwan707 Nornally yes, but if you look at it a little more critically, how important are the 4 points? Those two stones are not cutting anything, and it would cost a few moves to save them. Also, black doesn't have "major" controle in that area, so you don't "need" to stop black's influence. In other words, saving them is possible, but small. No worries about being new, we all are. Always ask questions, that's how you learn =)!

@ 4:17 I don't see how there is NO WAY to cut them off... if wht played right in the middle of the blk groups wouldn't that be cutting him? couldn't wht just fill-in the area between the blk groups instead of playing off to the sides of the blk groups?

Hmm I'm not exactly sure where your talking about. But they can't be cut.

Let's see if white hane off the left group on the second line black can cut. If white nobi to the right off the 3rd line stone, black can 1 point jump from the left group under white to connect.

I'm not sure what other moves white would use.

Try playing it out on a board, if you still think white can cut black, please record a video of the moves and post it as a video response. I can more easily see what your talking about and show you like that. Hope this helps! Clossius
