The first game I played after Pokemon was Halo Combat evolved. The next games I played after t hat were a succession on Nintendo games like Pikmin or Paper Mario or Smash Brothers or an assortment of lesser Wii and Gamecube games. The most fun I ever had playing a game came when i got my xbox in 2008. The first game I got was Halo 3. Its campaign, played with a few of my friends in my basement for the first time in one week was the best thing I did that summer. Thank you Halo 3 for the memories.

@kickassberrow Halo was the flagship for competitive online MP. It's what started it really. Golden Eye was great but you could only enjoy it via lan parties. Halo was really the first for FPSs on the console that could have someone on the West coast fight someone on the East.

@kickassberrow PS3 is great, but it butchered its launch, and while PSN is free, I think Xbox Live is better. And for me, personally, I hate that they got rid of backwards compatibility. The PS3 does have great games, like Uncharted and Little Big Planet, but I think that the winner of this generation was the Xbox 360. Maybe the PS4 will lead the next generation, but it probably will be the next Xbox.

Halo series had a lot of good things (music was one of them), but also had one particural drawback: xbox exclusive. Together Halo 2 and Fable 2 made me hate consoles. Sorry, but that is my opinion as pc user is that Halo series (after halo 2) is xbox advertisement. They could have followed the same path as ubi with ac series, if not that contract with microsoft.(pc release later);(
