I used to wonder a lot about Ash's voice in the first episode, back when season 1 was still running. I'd go online to look up the voice actor's pictures and only ever found one for Eric Stuart and none of the others.

in Dinosaur King, Veronica does the same voice as she does for Ash for the guy called Max Taylor (who next, Veronica May?), who has a badge, his small yellow friend has the electric element and needs an item to evolve, has a pokedex type thing, his enemy is a gang of three headed by a tempermental lady who is voiced by Rachel Lillis...Eric Stuart and Maddie Blaustein are also in it...they just squished Pokemon and Digimon into one...grrr, i hate PUSA

The reason PUSA had to get rid of all the 4Kids Voice actors when they took over the show was that... When the original voice actors were hired their contract stated they could not voice act for the characters or show they were on if 4Kids lost the rights.

Like someone said before me, while 4Kids committed manslaughter on the Japanese version, PUSA murdered all the appreciation the English version once had.

Beside that, this new cast actually sounds like they're just reading the lines off just to make the poor salary they were given. The 4Kids cast didn't sound like it was just reading the script for money: They actually had FUN doing it.

Ok...The new voice does sound wierd but that is because we are use to the original voices for the show. Now, when you watch pokemon, it just feel different not hearing ash normal voice. It just not the same. But for new fans of the show, they should have no trouble adjusting. They will prabaly like the new voice compare to Veronica. The new voice is not that bad, you just need to give it some time. It just a different feel.

No, in Advanced Battle, Veronica made Ash's voice deeper which indicated that Ash was older and that he had matured. A VA switch wasn't necessary, in my opinion.
