Unfortunately, Dick Durbin is my Senator. After writing to him opposing Cap & Trade and the Health Care Reform Bill and recieving the usual liberal talking points on why we "need" both passed, I am feeling very trapped. I've never voted for him and I never will, but Chicago is a far-left place and many of us who are not are stuck with this jerk.

Hey magdamagda999, Try living in a town thats 99% white thats voted republican for the last 50 years and then have a Obama sign in your yard when every neighbor then puts up a Mccain sign. My Obama sign was defaced several times. Funny thing is during the '04 election nobody had a Bush sign up even after I put up a Kerry sign. As I watched this, I was proud and then mad. Had they done any advertising of this protest on Twitter, they would have 3 to 4 times the turnout they had. I would have filled up my car with people and drove to Springfield!!
