They were only available, originally, if you belonged to the Official Beatles fan Club, and were 8"discs on vinyl till '67, when it was pressed onto a large paper card, and then flex discs for the last two years.
were these Christmas Beatles records only available through the fan club or could you buy them , were they vynil or flexi discs. These are so rare i've not heard this before, i would have loved to have this to open and play on Christmas day. The Beatles , there's just no comparison to any other band, still the best by a country mile.
Good ear...indeed it's the same chords. First chord is "A" with the top string on the 5th fret instead of open; then the 2nd chord is the same as the 1st chord but he puts the 3rd string on the 4th fret and the 5th string on the 3rd fret. Same exact thing as I've got a feeling.
Thank you. I have always loved Paul's abbreviated version of "Happy Christmas 1968 going on 69...." I believe it could have been a much better song than "Wonderful Christmastime" if he finished it.
@kringles4 Ha! Never been to Beatles school but "I've got a felling" it is. in a primitive form but the verse is there. Same chords and very similar tempo. different melody, but it actually remembers lennons part "everybody had a hard year", which in fact regards year 1968. don't know who inspired who, though.
@afnbrazil I am not hearing I've Got a Feeling or as you call it "I've got a felling" here in any form whatsoever...but you have a right to a personal opinion. Like I originally said, I wish Paul had finished this song.
