@organicgardener66 You are right, this was the first ru when were starting the continuous flow process. In our new videos, you can see that it is moist now.
.....I have euro's and red worms. IN separate bins, what is an easy way to tell a difference between them? I can't really tell a difference. Thanks for you help!
@cheeseasaurus55 , the one, you can find in your backyard soil not, the one you can find in your backyard compost heap - yes! You need composting worms, which you can find in compost, manure, mulch. Ask your neighbour, if you can look in his compost heap, or you have to buy them from worm breeders. Good luck!
The end bit was very strange the men were walking to the door with the dog but then the dog ran towards the camera backwards as though they were walking backwards to begin with. So was the dog locked in the shed all night? lol.
Hi, in 2:30, I've seen that the crumbs are just falling under, what did you use as bedding for it? is it a screen? and are those crumbs are falling by itself? or do you have to shake the bin? thanks
I am just starting my own vermicompost not for business but to process excess household kitchen waste. I like the design of your greenhouse/ worm bins facility I think I can incorporated it in my vermicompost but in a smaller scale. Excellence video by the way.

What's the ratio of feed to castings? So if you start with 100 kilos of food, how many kilos of castings do you get?

Do you dry your vermicompost? Dosn't this reduce microbal activity?
skitforbrains 1 year ago
@skitforbrains Actually, I kinda want to know that myself. I'd think the best outcome would be to keep the microbial activity viable.

Can you do a continual harvest from the bottom and keep feeding the top rather than harvesting the whole bin every 3 months?
What size bottom screen?
You are the leader, thanks.

very impresive...I am very interested in learning about your operation. I have been raising worms for fun but want to get into it as a business.

how do you know when the worm casting is done???
jerrydff7 1 year ago
@jerrydff7 We harvest about 10 to 12 weeks after feeding. Int this time, with our population, we are sure, that the worm cast is done.
VermiGrand 1 year ago
That's very good. Can I use the earthworm in my garden for composting? Thank you.

I have a vermicompost bin in my basement. sometimes when its raining outside the worms will try to escape the bin..
cafekawaii 2 years ago
There are not tops on the bins. So the worms don't climb out at all?
WoundedEgo 2 years ago
No, they do not climb out.
VermiGrand 2 years ago
uhh.. no. It just sort of looks like it because of the video compression. Switch to HQ mode and you'll see it's correct.
