I would say the cop was out of line but she was literally asking for it I mean if you watch the tape she actually utters the words "I dare you". I can't say I feel sorry for someone that got tazed when they dared someone else to taze them. Once again, it was definitely unnecessary and excessive force but she was literally asking for it.

Maybe its because I don't personally have any black friends, but the fact is, I've never seen blacks disproportionately treated by the cops. A lot of cops are assholes, but they're more likely to act like assholes if you simply don't do what they say. That white "grandma" acted like a typical uppity negro, and got what was coming to her. For example, (beware of the lame example), I hit the police officer with a twig I found on the ground, they don't have to bring out a gun and shoot the guy. If you're a police officer, you should be trained to deal with these people, not just pull out weapons and start beating on people.

The trick is not putting her in cuffs, but doing it without breaking any bones, causing closed head injuries, Etc. As a paramedic in Texas I can tell you from personal experience that we treat far fewer serious injuries when the suspect is tasered than when they are restrained in a more "hands on" way. As violent as it looks, tasers prevent more injuries than they cause. In the U.S. the time to argue is in court, not on the side of the road. Good Cop, Bad Granny.
