X-men Origins: Wolverine is a perfect fit into the X-men movies. In it you see how Saber-tooth becomes the animal he is in the first film, and what (in his subconscious mind) makes Wolverine the hero we all love. PS Stan Lee loves it, and he did not like "The Hulk" 2003.
This isnt wolverine! this is not what happened....wolverine's origin is NOT supposed to be an action movie...his real origin should have been treated as horror film!

The Story is solid (no plot holes), The villains are complex (solid motives), Wolverine is more complex than ever, the acting right on the money (never over the top or so week they look like they should fall asleep), The FX were as fantastic as the original X-men movie and the movie built up the improbable till you can just accept the imposable is real. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Not a great movie the only standouts where jackman and sabertooth.
And while jackman is a great wolvie when reading back issues of his best time in comics (the claremont,silvestri era) i see the wolvie i would love to see on screen, a short bundle of anger, the cultured samurai who gives short answers.
What i didn't get about this movie was Sabertooth.i mean seriously, why didn't they explain anything about Sabertooth in the first Xmen movie that supposedly took place after Origins? Or is Origins suppose to be a reboot for a new Xmen franchise?
This movie sucked. It was one giant continuity error. The mutant cameos were pointless. They turned Deadpool into a gigantic clusterfuck. But then again, this movie is a prequel to the X-Men films, which also sucked, so it's not surprising how this one turned out. And that reviewer is a guy? Sabortooth Is concernd if he is alive or not so he checks on him.

Damn, Logan lived a hard life. And he can't die. You have to wonder how he can keep going.
He killed his dad, ran away, been through every war, was put through the adamantium, his wife dies, the kind elderly couple who took him in was murdered by the people he used to work with, Xavier who took him in was killed, and he had to kill his love (Jean).
The movie was ok, but that was one of the most dissapointing endings ever. I mean, i was expecting it to be open for a sequal, but it was TOO open. Ok... he loses his memory and leaves, wtf. then, at the end of the credits, they target it even MORE toward a sequal. I thought it was good, but then it ended...
Im trying to figure out how they came up with such a great beginning and then just half assed it the rest of the way. With the exception of a few scenes it was pretty disappointing. Its as if they couldnt figure out how to write a story about wolverine so instead included a bunch of useless characters for spin offs. WTG

It's because in the comic world wolverine is to comics what star wars is to sci fi. So this movie is to the wolverine comic what robot chicken is to star wars. And if you have an eye for CGI standards then you will consider the special effects in this movie hideous. The worst part is robot chicke was trying to be funny, this movie is not.
Nope, I'm talking about the actual film seen in the cinemas. I havn't seen the online version which was leaked. I also don't knowe the situation the CGI artists had on the film. Maybe this was the best they could do in a limited time frame or maybe that was just the best they could do. Either way the result was not anywhere near good in my books.
I respect your oppinion as well :) . I did find the movie entertaining but I've been in the field of CGI for a while and can spot bad CGI a mile away. the premiere of this film was supposed to be at Davis, Ca(where Im going to college) but another city won. It was a city out of California, out of hollywood so I guess they deserved it more than us. :(

If you've never read the comic books, dont bash the people that hated the movie. Just keep going to the movies, shell out your 20 bucks for tickets and popcorn, and watch your lame fucking explosions and loud noises.
Movie did not kick ass. Just a bunch of mindless action with absolutely no brains. I'll drink that Kool-Aid for Transformers, but X-men is supposed to be so much deeper than 5-minute cameos and glorified death scenes from some of the best (and worst) characters in the franchise.

Fine if you don't want to argue I won't, but now I know YOU aren't a hardcore X-Men fan if you believe Deadpool is a born mutant. He got his healing factor form the Weapon X program which experimented on Logan and got that ability implanting it in almost every Weapon X participant. So this makes Deadpool a "mutate", a born human who got their abilities artificially. I'm not even a big fan of X-Men and I know that. I'll leave it at that.

What i didn't get about this movie was Sabertooth.i mean seriously, why didn't they explain anything about Sabertooth in the first Xmen movie that supposedly took place after Origins? Or is Origins suppose to be a reboot for a new Xmen franchise?

This movie sucked. It was one giant continuity error. The mutant cameos were pointless. They turned Deadpool into a gigantic clusterfuck. But then again, this movie is a prequel to the X-Men films, which also sucked, so it's not surprising how this one turned out. And that reviewer is a guy? No offense, but I honeastly thought it was a butch lesbian for a second.

Sabortooth does recegnize wolverine in xmen 1 when they first meet in snow area with rouge sabortooth just tosses wolverine away to a tree and goes straight for rouge he doesn't want to hurt wolverine and he also takes wolverines dog tags and keeps stating at em and when they are in statur of liberty wolverine stabs himself and pretends to die. Sabortooth Is concernd if he is alive or not so he checks on him.

Damn, Logan lived a hard life. And he can't die. You have to wonder how he can keep going.
He killed his dad, ran away, been through every war, was put through the adamantium, his wife dies, the kind elderly couple who took him in was murdered by the people he used to work with, Xavier who took him in was killed, and he had to kill his love (Jean).

The movie was ok, but that was one of the most dissapointing endings ever. I mean, i was expecting it to be open for a sequal, but it was TOO open. Ok... he loses his memory and leaves, wtf. then, at the end of the credits, they target it even MORE toward a sequal. I thought it was good, but then it ended...

Im trying to figure out how they came up with such a great beginning and then just half assed it the rest of the way. With the exception of a few scenes it was pretty disappointing. Its as if they couldnt figure out how to write a story about wolverine so instead included a bunch of useless characters for spin offs. WTG

The movie could have been better i guess,they really effed up Deadpool, Gambit barely makes an appearance,and they kinda effed up Logans story,but it was still a fun movie.
Shit doesn't have to be perfect to be enjoyable on some level.

Summed it up perfectly. I don't know why they treat the audience as idiots though. This movie could have been smart, could have stuck to the original character stories, kept the fx and it would have kicked butt. Is it too much to ask for fx AND and story that doesn't make you want to scratch out your brain? I don't think so but apparently someone in Hollyweird does.

x-men made you - at least a little - use your head. that's what i liked about the trilogy. though it was a little too polished. but x-men origins: wolverine was just stupid action. there are people who like that, i don't. was not expecting this and got disappointed. btw. i don't like the transformer movies neither (i saw them being referred to in comments above mine)

sure, the ending sucked and the story was just blemish, but this was one of the most entertaining movies i've seen in a long time
it isn't just pointless explosions and stupid fight scenes
the fight scenes and explosions are done in a creative, stylish, and unique way, making this very entertaining

It's because in the comic world wolverine is to comics what star wars is to sci fi. So this movie is to the wolverine comic what robot chicken is to star wars. And if you have an eye for CGI standards then you will consider the special effects in this movie hideous. The worst part is robot chicke was trying to be funny, this movie is not.

Nope, I'm talking about the actual film seen in the cinemas. I havn't seen the online version which was leaked. I also don't knowe the situation the CGI artists had on the film. Maybe this was the best they could do in a limited time frame or maybe that was just the best they could do. Either way the result was not anywhere near good in my books.

I respect your oppinion as well :) . I did find the movie entertaining but I've been in the field of CGI for a while and can spot bad CGI a mile away. Add that fact to expecting the wolverine origin story from the comics and instead get this twisted version of the story and well I was overall let down greatly.

Yeah the movie kind of had potential but they just mess stuff up so bad, I do like Hugh Jackman as wolverine and I loved ryan renyolds for deadpool but I was pretty upset they messed up deadpool and he wasn't really even in the movie, even ryan was like they messed him up

the premiere of this film was supposed to be at Davis, Ca(where Im going to college) but another city won. It was a city out of California, out of hollywood so I guess they deserved it more than us. :(
I wanted to see Hugh Jackman and Ryan but oh well. I did not like this film at all. The storyline was too simple.

Movie did not kick ass. Just a bunch of mindless action with absolutely no brains. I'll drink that Kool-Aid for Transformers, but X-men is supposed to be so much deeper than 5-minute cameos and glorified death scenes from some of the best (and worst) characters in the franchise.

Fine if you don't want to argue I won't, but now I know YOU aren't a hardcore X-Men fan if you believe Deadpool is a born mutant. He got his healing factor form the Weapon X program which experimented on Logan and got that ability implanting it in almost every Weapon X participant. So this makes Deadpool a "mutate", a born human who got their abilities artificially. I'm not even a big fan of X-Men and I know that. I'll leave it at that.

Hey..he said Liev's name correctly. So many don't. Great review. "Fantastic" "Testosterone filled adventure" haha. :) Maybe it's all that testosterone that we women love. I loved the action and the cheesiness. And I loved Manny's claws (although i don't think Logan giggles like that when his claws extend.)

If your a fan of the comics...this movie seriously disappoints
And as for the additional characters such as Gambit and Deadpool...they displease.
Gambit doesnt appear for more than 5 min...maybe and Deadpool is completely ruined.
I agree that the first half was good but the other half was dreadful.
