The writers and director of ' Network ' knew what television would become in the 21st Century. They foresaw the rise of CNN, FOX , MSNBC and more. They saw the death of electronic " journalism" . Prophetic film. All blood, gore and foolishness aside, Robocop is also brilliant and prophetic. A movie written in the 1980s about what tv and life in the year 2000 ( and beyond) would be like. How could they have known?? Fascinating.

Maybe we should have a genuinely democratic Nationalist political party, favoring policies that are Pro-Family, Stewardship, & Fair Trade/Economic Patriotism (e.g. National Tariff/Import Tax). Maybe that's largely the Tea Party Movement but it's being muffled ...for now.
