Based on where he was seated, Bartman should have been aware that the outfielder could have made a play in his vicinity. He had enough time to avoid the ball. HOWEVER, to blame Bartman for what was a monumental collapse by the Cubs is appalling. Leading 3games to 2, the Cubs were 5 outs from a World Series. Their two best pitchers were in Games 6 (Mark Prior) and game 7 (Kerry Wood) and both games were in Chicago. Even in game 7, the Cubs were up 5-3 heading into the 5th inning.
this is a disgrace a mans life ruined by his fellow fans cheering for his favorite team i wish i was their to back him up and punching the shit out of anybody who did anything rude to him
I think the fans turned on him because he looked so remorseless. Just sitting there stoically made people think he was content with what he did. If Bartman had given a "my bad" gesture to the crowd, the incident may have just passed.
dude that is harsh, bartman was not the only one reaching for it. The cubs choked and should have bounced back to prevent the marlins from scoring more points, the cubs have nobody to blame but themselves. so cubs fans out poiting the fingers at Bartman shut the hell up and stop being whining little bitches

@Jay21L the marlins didn't score any points during that game, neither did the cubs. It's runs.
CamDoggRedeemed 10 months ago
@CamDoggRedeemed I don't watch baseball so I assumed that runs are points
Jay21L 5 months ago
@Jay21L haha its funny that you have the right to talk about baseball if your calling runs "points"
jdominick28 6 months ago
@jdominick28 Yeah thats what runs basically are points

@djrobertrhythm ARE YOU BLIND? CLEARLY, THE ENTIRE SECTION STOOD UP AND REACHED FOR THE BALL. DON'T BLAME ONE PERSON JUST BECAUSE HE TOUCHED IT.
