  • wich mic did you use ?

  • @rockanroleroamil was a joemeek JM37 condenser mic

  • What a nasty-sounding mic. Way too bright.

  • Great, HONEST sound.

  • Very nice sound!

  • May I ask what hihats you were using? Not sure if you've answered this, but I only see your ride in the description. It sizzles and fits in the mix wonderfully. Thanks for toue time.

  • @rootvalue HH is a zildjian K "dark" "14

  • Smoothplaying man, i'm gonna try it

  • Very nice - definitely captured the natural tone of the drum kit! I really love your style on the kit as well, good job :)

I miced my drum kit up with 2 very cheap mics - I did a sound check with it and its' on my channel - take a look and let me know what you think :)

    Thanks!

  • good, the snare seems to say "I'm not with this guys, I'm just passing through and..." :)

try to loose a bit the resonant side.

Anyway nice natural sound, I like it

  • it is a real pleasure watching and listening to you...

i like your stile, you got the groove man. keep up the good work

  • its awesome to see someone recording the old fashioned way with one room mic. and you sound 10 times better than these kids with their over-tightened and over-muffled drum heads and eq-ing on every drum. they sound like drum machines. you have some actual soul!

  • This sounds really freaking good

  • This is such a brilliant video. I got lost for about three minutes in your oh-so-natural groove, and forgot I came here to learn about your recording method. Thank you for this treat. :)

  • @rootvalue lol me too! Surprising how good it sounds ^^ I can now safely say that 4 mics for a kit is over-rated xD

  • thanks man!

  • ONE MIC!??? JESUS CHRIST MAN,that sounds fucking amazing...and your playing is awesome too

  • Even if you're not a pro, you sure can play! And a great sound considering only one mic!

  • @Dewingo

    thanks!!

  • thanks..

  • sounds really good! its amazing how much you can do with only one mic. your ride cymbal sounds amazing too!

  • I had a twinQ at the time of the recording, but then I sold it for a VC1, which is way better...

  • the Jm37 sounds pretty good actually... Which JoeMeek preamp are you using in this video ? OneQ, TwinQ or sixQ or threeQ ? I have both the OneQ and TwinQ and they're just great.

  • great sound. what mic are u using?

  • @ariansyaz

    joemeek JM37!

  • joemeek JM37!

  • viva i sovversivi del purismo.stai usando Cardioide?

  • eheh!! si si cardioide, con quel mic non avevo molta scelta..!

  • THIS IS SICK!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet groove dude.

  • i love your ride! what make and type is it?

  • Thanks, it's a amazing ride, is a Istanbul Mel Lewis!

  • sounds great!

  • wow, this sounds amazing. I've been thinking of (after) finishing the home studio setup, recording drums with one mic only and THANK YOU, saw a couple of videos but this was the best test. joemeek jm37, how much is it?

  • 120$!!
