The dress from 'Think of Me" looks like the same dress Christiane wore in the last scene when the Phantom makes her change into his wedding dress for her. Is that true?
omg..does anyone else notice how the hair pieces in the movie on Christine in think of me is similar to that of the outfit and jewelry that Queen Elizabeth aka Sissy of Bavaria wore in that iconic portrait of hers?in fact,I managed to visit the queen sissy's famous clothing collection in Hungary during the summer, and it looks so similar to many of the costumes in Phantom of the Opera. The opera house in hungary is so close to that used in the movie. It's because it was modeled after the paris one
my favorite dress is emmy rossums dressing gown, its soo beautiful and gorgous and sleek and slender. i wish i could wear a dressing gown like that! i love all of the costumes!
@VHebert77 Sadly, Susan is being forced to sell the collection at auction, starting this month. She tried very hard to make the collection available to the public. But economic times being what they are, she must part with her beloved collection. Wish I could afford to buy something!
can you imagine how it must have felt wearing those beautiful, beautiful clothes? oh my gosh, she was my age when she got to wear the think of me dress! I would die to get to wear something so gorgeous! :D and the cape haha! that would be sooo cool to get to wear
where is that I can go and view the costumes???? I didn't even know they had a collection of them that you could view.....i love Christine's dress when she sang "Think Of Me"....
See the comment from metrospacebill just below. The costumes are owned privately and are set up for viewing by special arrangement only. Sadly, they do not have a permanent home for display. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to see them.
The owner of this collection, Susan Heath, is a personal friend she can be contacted through Metrospace Design Group, Las Vegas, NV. I have set these costumes up many times for viewing, you wouldn't believe how skinny and tiny the actors who wore these costumes actually were. I believe, but not sure, she may be offering some for sale.
you are soo lucky! don't take this the wrong way, but there aren't enough words in the world to describe how much I envy you. sorry but I have a different sort of obbsession with the phantom of the opera. its sort of my escape from responsibilities... it makes me feel special:)
I envy you immensly. I wanna try on Erik's cape! I can't believe you got to see this....wow. I am a huge Phantom Freak! I wish I could have been there...hehehehe. I probably would have fainted if I even got to see what Gerry wore as Erik. The way he swirls that cape around is just...oh, so sexy. Happy Day.
I'm a Phantom Freak too! I remember we learned the songs for chorus in 5th grade and I loved them. So I rented the movie, but I only could bear to watch an hour of it because I was excited, as it was Easter. I never got to watch it until today. I got it on my iPod Touch yesterday and finally watched it. It is THE best movie I've ever seen!
The costumes are owned by a private collector who lives in Las Vegas. Normally, they are kept in storage, but by special arrangement, she will display them in her home. I was fortunate to be able to see this fabulous collection while attending a Gerard Butler Fan Convention in Las Vegas in June of 2008.
Seeing that cape was and is still one of the biggest highlights of my life:-)!! The Think Of Me dress is gorgeous and so delicate-looking. Thank you so much for this wonderful video of the costumes, now I can really feel like I was there seeing it all with you*Hugs.
Thank you kitty for this phantastic costume video. Now we can all see the costumes. How beautiful they are, especially the Think Of Me Dress and the Lace Dressing Gown and ohhhh that cape. Lucky ladies and how lovely of Metrospace to show her costumes so warmly in her home.
