Look , i dig FF7 .. it was an awesome game that cannot be forgotten .. attacking the first boss with an awesome surge of emotions aided by the awesome boss battle music .. having trouble passing midgar zolom , meeting the weapons .. diamond wpn attacking shinra ..aeris death .. a Lot of good memories .. but it had its chance and people still playing the game .. but now there are more cool FF's and the chance to play classic games (FF 2.3.4.5.6) ..
I think that final fantasy 6,7,8,9 and 10 were the best the new ones just didn't really captivate me like the classic ones did its like the forgot about gameplay and storyline in the new ones and just focused on graphics. But whats the point of a beautiful looking game that lacks all else am i right?
Here's the thing Final Fantasy 7 is OVER USED and all the other are under used even though most of them had music is 10 times better, the game is great i will admit but for all the fanboys and fangirls PLAY THE OTHER FINAL FANTASIES OR SHUT THE FUCK UP
I played a lot of Final fantasy games. But I haven't played this one :( A lot of people say that this is the best one ever but.. my Ps1 busted already. Lol. Kinda looks like lego. I do wish I could play this one.
i think there is going to be another addition to the ff7 compilation because at the end of final fantasy dirge of Cerberus genesis who was in crisis core came down and picked up wiess and flew off with him some where
@BabyMiao007 You can't pirate this game. The port was so messed up that it's impossible to copy. You'll have to buy the PC version from Amazon or something.
@kinkkku That's awesome! I used to have an original PC version (I didn't have a Playstation at the time), but I played it so much that the first disc began to crack from the center outward. When I tried to make a copy it split the rest of the way. Sad day!
@oneclipleft Yeah. That's one of the reasons why I don't really like to play that game at all. I'm scared that i break it accidentally :S It's really hard to get original copies of that game anymore. Most FF7 games you see in ebay are in bad shape or costs hundreds of dollars.
Can people please stop putting negative comments about this game and the people who love it on these videos? And if someone does put a negative comment dont answer it, they want to get a response out of the fans so just ignore them. I can go watch a video of something I hate and write a stupid comment about it too but I just dont see the point other than being a total douche bag.
I think I'll play it again, with my usual storyline of keeping Aeris until Gaeia's Cliff, then bringing in Yuffie, whom I haven't trained, and having a hard time of getting past the bosses in one piece :P . Though last time Yuffie was, somehow, the only one left alive against the two-headed dragon (we had no phoenix downs, ethers or healing potions until that one tent before Jenova, but then we lost two to the winged things with Aero 3 spells, and so it was a 30 minute battle with Yuffieno MP).
Amazing huh, that this game can make me cry until today, 14 years later. I love the soundtrack. Anyone who doesn't like FF 7 is simply not a gamer. Weither you like it or not, this is simply a game to be respected....
@reka10 Well excuse me for your lack of view but this isn't simply like that. It is about the story, the gameplay, the strategies, the secrets. Probably you are not even fond of turn based rpg's. Stick to your 1000 in a dozen war games :)

@reka10 What you fail to see apparently in any final fantasy game, it isnt about watching your character do a cinematic. Its about strategy, making the right choices for an outcome in a game. That is the difference between controlling a dvd menu, and final fantasy. Strategy. It takes a certain amount of strategy, to complete almost any final fantasy game. @thewilliamgregg in like the 'FF7' timeline, the order is crisis core (prequel), then FF7, then advent children (kinda a sequel). But they weren't released like that.

@KurikazuTheWarrior I agree there. The best version of it to me is the shorter one for Crisis Core. It has all the themes of the original without being dragged out unnecessarily long.

I thought 13 was great, honestly, what a modern FF. 13-2 might be a mistake, but 13 Versus looks like it could easily rank in the top 5 SquareEnix (soft) games of all time.

No this was squares fault square got too ambitious wanting a "movie", they had the biggest games at that point but they wanted to get into films. See what money does to everything.. look at the casual game industry today... some elitists only wanna protect the integrity of the brand because once the world says " hey I like that me too" money responds to the biggest demographic (always casual) & It's a rap. Music got done the same way now nobody can even sell an album!

Honestly athe term remake is incorrect. revamp would fit better, since you don't want any plot changed. as a remake would entail replacing several key elements of this games core parts, like characters, plot lines, battle systems, etc.
a graphical overhaul would be welcomed, as well as a text correction project, but nothing else requires altering.

@vrossv That's cool man, I know myself that Squaresoft made the 3 greatest FF titles of all time. But I've got to admit that Square-Enix did a wonderful job with Crisis Core, that exceeded my expectations.

The reason this game was the best was because it was the first of the series to really change everything. 1-6 were all good and had different stories, but they were all similar in gameplay and other things. But Final Fanatasy 7, when it came out, was so different in every aspect that it was mind blowing. The gameplay, the battle system, the characters, the story line....everything was new....I think thats what made it so good.
I feel sorry for everyone who's dumb enough not to try this game let alone be able to play it before they die. Oh, a life unfulfilled that'd be. Hopefully it still lives on in the afterlife although I'm sure it wouldn't because FF7 will never die.

@awwahs I think so too, it hasn't been the same since X. I think XIII was a step in the right direction it only really lacked depth and exploration, I hope they don't kill it with XIII-2.
By the way, has anyone heard any updates about a VII remake decision? Square-enix were apparently considering its options but nothings been published for a while...
I really want a remake too, but I know I wouldn't be happy unless they kept EVERYTHING that happened EXACTLY the same. And remakes never do that, so I guess I can wait. :(

@jason854656 Dude, I've been trying to make this point for years, lol. This is my favorite FF game, hell, my favorite game period, and has been since the moment I popped it in when it was released. And not because it's the only Final Fantasy I've played, I've played and beaten pretty much all of them, working my way through XIII and enjoying every minute of it. XIII doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting. Sure, it's different but still a damn good addition to the FF series.

@NathanaelADavis It's $10. I was one of the most skeptical people about this game. If you can beat the first disc you'll be hooked I'm sure & it'll be one of your most cherished gaming memories, whether you played it back in the day or in 2010 like I did.

Gaming has anything to do with controling anything on a screen. Yes its really HARD to consider something gaming isnt it. Every game now has cinematics, and im also looking forward to those too.

@reka10 What you fail to see apparently in any final fantasy game, it isnt about watching your character do a cinematic. Its about strategy, making the right choices for an outcome in a game. That is the difference between controlling a dvd menu, and final fantasy. Strategy. It takes a certain amount of strategy, to complete almost any final fantasy game. You stating that FF isnt gaming is plainly an insult towards it. Final fantasy is one of the originals to be called "gaming". Cinematic or not

I was watching a video earlier it was a cartoon where Sephiroth is takeing his mothers head off and he ends up stabbing Cloud all the way through his stomach and jumps and falls down with the statues head or whatever it is.Is that a cartoon of the prequel.It looked like a cartoon or it could be the clips from the game.I just want to watch any videos,clips and/or cut scenes of whatever happened b4 FF7 PS2 game if any one cann help me find those.

FF7's music is much better when not a rock remix. Thats what messed up one winged angel in Advent Children, adding that tiny rock part to it.

I think if you were a real FF fan you would love them all.
My favorite FF is FFX as far as stories go. But I truly don't even have a favorite.
I thought 13 was great, honestly, what a modern FF. 13-2 might be a mistake, but 13 Versus looks like it could easily rank in the top 5 SquareEnix (soft) games of all time.

I've heard many people saying FF12 was awesome but honestly it's my least favourite, I didn't apreciate the story and the characters, Vaan wasn't a good hero. FFXIII was really good and I really liked the story, the characters were cool, the problem is that fans like us are always expecting something mindblowing like FF7 or FFX. If I was new to the series I would probably LOVE IT. It's true

No this was squares fault square got too ambitious wanting a "movie", they had the biggest games at that point but they wanted to get into films. See what money does to everything.. look at the casual game industry today... some elitists only wanna protect the integrity of the brand because once the world says " hey I like that me too" money responds to the biggest demographic (always casual) & It's a rap. Music got done the same way now nobody can even sell an album!

Honestly athe term remake is incorrect. revamp would fit better, since you don't want any plot changed. as a remake would entail replacing several key elements of this games core parts, like characters, plot lines, battle systems, etc.
a graphical overhaul would be welcomed, as well as a text correction project, but nothing else requires altering.

The reason this game was the best was because it was the first of the series to really change everything. 1-6 were all good and had different stories, but they were all similar in gameplay and other things. But Final Fanatasy 7, when it came out, was so different in every aspect that it was mind blowing. The gameplay, the battle system, the characters, the story line....everything was new....I think thats what made it so good.

Guys... Just think how much society would improve if we had a remake! All of these Crack addicts and Drug dealers, Thieves and Assassins, "Gang'stA'Z" and "PiMpZ", would all diminish. @jason854656 Dude, I've been trying to make this point for years, lol. This is my favorite FF game, hell, my favorite game period, and has been since the moment I popped it in when it was released. And not because it's the only Final Fantasy I've played, I've played and beaten pretty much all of them, working my way through XIII and enjoying every minute of it. XIII doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting. Sure, it's different but still a damn good addition to the FF series.

@jason854656 Well, I haven't played FF14. I'm not that big on the MMO games at the moment. So, can't say 14 is good or bad, but 13 has a good storyline in my opinion. It can get confusing at times but overall pretty good.

@NathanaelADavis It's $10. I was one of the most skeptical people about this game. If you can beat the first disc you'll be hooked I'm sure & it'll be one of your most cherished gaming memories, whether you played it back in the day or in 2010 like I did.
There are many overhyped things, FF7 is not one of those things.

I honestly was a huge skeptic of the game which literally ended after the first few scenes & I was like getting into it pretty hardcore because the game from front to back never really gives you a reason it get out of it so to speak.
