  • Great progress man. I must have missed this one when you posted it. Well done.

  • What Engines are you using?

  • Great vid Jamie. Love the SE curves! Backdrop is excellent.

  • is those auto racks red caboose or concor?

  • @cprail1997 red caboose

  • Have a model of the " Unknown Hero" grave site on this layout?

  • @wdmccord I know the exact spot you are talking about; however this location is not featured on the layout. It is just about a mile south of the area that I am modeling.

  • That is beautiful work. Thanks for posting.

  • Great . Nice

  • I spy with my railroading eye.....that double-track bridge over I-75. :)

Used to love railfanning up there, and then running over toward Lake Allatoona (a few miles east of this spot) to watch them cross over the lake and roll into Acworth. :)

  • i almost had the lake on the layout but could not figure out a way to model it and keep the etowah river bridge. one day i'll have a bigger basement!

  • Are your diesels sound equipped?

And are those Kato's or Atlas models?

Anyways, dude keep up the good work.

  • no sound (yet). those two units on Q210 are a kato SD70M and a Kato CW44AC. the local has an Atlas GP15-1 on the point. thanks for the compliments!

  • No wonder you havn't posted any videos lately. Youve been up to alot of work.

  • Great Job Jamie!

  • Very nice Jamie! The south end of the passing track looks spot on, i shot a SB grain train there not long ago and the terrain profile looks perfect. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

  • Thanks! I have lots of photos I took on location clipped up all over the layout to make sure I get the general profiles and layouts as close to the real thing as possible.

  • That's coming along very nicely! Im looking forward to seeing more.

  • Truly amazing work! What subdivision are you modeling, if any?

  • This is actually part of the CSX W&A Sub (Atlanta Division) from Atlanta to Chattanooga. Emerson is a small town with a passing siding about 25 miles north of Atlanta.

  • Ok, I looked on your site and it said something about Waxhaw, NC (where I railfan). What was that about?

  • Oh- last year I had decided to change my railroad from modern day CSX in GA to the 1966 era Seaboard Air Line in SC/NC. However, I switched back to the modern CSX era when I realized my modern concrete track would not fit in.

  • wow thanks for all the compliments everyone! at least now y'all know why i have been too busy to post any videos lately :)

  • What a great start to what looks like a very promising layout! Keep 'em coming, Jamie!

  • Looking good!

  • Great work.....so far Jamie!

  • looks great!
