Years ago I was on a business trip. He was at the gate next to mine seeing his son off to somewhere I didn't say a word and continued waiting to board. Suddenly I noticed him hug his kid, and as he walked away he started to move over in my direction..closer...closer. "Fort Hood right?" I said .."yes Sir." He went on to ask how I'd been and what I had been up to. He told me how proud he was of me. This was after meeting him for 5 minutes on post 2 yrs prior. Great man! I always remember it.
