  • sorry but i hardly remember he has parkinson while seeing this..his personal character and strong mindedness completely blocks it out for me.

  • @ 6:30 Michael's mom looks like she's gonna cry. I'm sure it's hard to see your child in that state. Thnk u Michael for being so strong!

  • how can somebody dislike this?!? have they no heart for such an amazing actor, writer, optimist, and great guy???

  • @dramapixie88 maybe that person meant to say dis-I-like lol

  • @mrsLochrie Agreed =)

  • HELL YEAH. SNEAKY LITTLE BASTARD. :D

  • Aw man I cant believe they just skimmed over The Frighteners! I hope Michael comes back to work in something, anything one day.

  • I can tell when Michael's son Sam watches his dad from the audience, I can see the admiration on Sam's face! I have read both of Michael's books now and they are such a loving and devoted family and Tracy is a wonderful wife who has stuck by her husband through all the tough times and I think they are all amazing!

  • Very few actors I think are as down to Earth as Fox...

  • Aw man! I am so in awe of his positive attitude. My auntie has Parkinsons, she was diagnosed in the early 90's, she has only now recently stopped sewing and doing embroidery because she can't hold a needle. Her 'can do' attitude and determination not to let the disease get the better of her is a constant inspiration. I see that in Michael too, I really hope there is a breakthrough in treatment in the not too distant future.

  • wow this guy is a philosopher "to look at what ive lost makes me look at what ive gained"

  • He is an outstanding person!

  • Men it was really sad watch him struggle to speak , but it was very nice to c how he talks about his problems without no fears and so much passion to live. U still the man little dude!

  • Richard Kind needs to do Inside the Actors Studio!

  • Canadians comedians are the most humble. him and John Candy are a true example of humble, loving, caring.

  • what an awesome voice

  • yea! my gosh @warrior u scared the crap outa me! i had to go check wikipedia :(

  • @WarriorMigs24 He's still alive you retard

  • What kind of pills help for parkinson's?

They stop working after a few years of using them?

  • @universal23livenl It takes medicines that attempt to correct the brain's lack of dopamine, and it's very tricky and the amount and type of medicine does change over time. A lot of the overactive muscle movement comes from too much medicine as well as too little, and like any medicine, there are peaks and valleys in effectiveness with each dose, so taking the medicine can cause a spike at first, taper off and smooth out, and then drop off, with symptoms showing at first and and near the end.

  • michael is a great man he is my hero , he is like a warrior that will win the battle i am 18 and he has inspired me greatly

  • we love uuuuu michael !!!!!!!! love love love!!!

  • If there is a cure for his illness, then he could still make movies no prob.

  • His books are awesome and the audiobook versions are even better because they are both read by him.

  • I have Tourette, which means I make involuntary tics/movements, and often the best thing those I'm with can do, is to just be normal, let me take my time and then continue with the conversation. James Lipton does that so well, and Michael is amazing up there!

  • @dithsun Michael J. Fox doesn't have Tourettes...he has Parkinson's Disease, which produces similar symptoms, but eventually will become much much worse and will eventually kill him. My Grandfather had Parkinson's--it a very slow, agonizing, heart-breaking way to wither-away.

  • @RichMaxwell Actually, Parkinson's isn't deadly. He said so himself.

  • @roflcunnt well it by itself may not be fatal, but it is one horrible way to live. that's for sure.

  • @RichMaxwell Yes, I agree. I am very sorry about your grandfather. I pray he gets better.

  • @roflcunnt He passed away April 2009 at age 82.

  • all irish people are articulate1000 years of speaking a language will do that

  • just curious about your comment on this video about articulation of Irish people & how is that relevant to this video??? the reason i ask is - I am Irish:)

  • What a nice genuine articulate man.

  • What episode was that from spin city that he can't pee?

  • The Paul Lassiter Story...I just watched it, great episode :-)

  • Man, the moment he had to pause to take some medicine touched me deep

  • james lipton is the man Micheal is sitting there having his poor spells all that twiching and James just keeps askign him questions and not paying attention to Micheals problems not reacting,I have not sayed what it ment but you know what I mean.

  • Read his books. They are amazing!

  • The Man, The Legend!

  • Awesome dude!

    GOTTA LOVE MICHAEL!

    .:.

  • "too see what ive lost, makes me look at what ive gained" wow! great approach to take imo

  • I wish he still made movies

  • Michael J. Fox is sooooooo awesome!!!!!!!!

  • "I'm a sneaky little bastard!" Hahah! Fox is so funny! I hope he'll come back in movies again one day.

  • "We clearly haven't finished yet" -- The fact that he has a sense of humor about his situation is why Michael J. Fox is a true hero.

  • WOW.. Great man. AND great actor! Cause I didn't miss an epi of Spin City!

  • I love Spin City as well. I am an actor because of that show. The most talented actors in the world were on that show and as Michael said they are from the greatest city in the world NYC!! I'm gonna move there after I get through college. Did you like Family Ties Liz?

  • yo quiero tener la fuerza de voluntad de el...

  • the eternal optimist...

  • sweetest guy on the planet.

  • It would be easy for anyone in his situation to just give up and turn into a sob, but he's handling this with such grace! He is still humble, and he can joke about himself. That's amazing. And he looks young still. His son looks like he's just as nice as Michael too.

  • is there anything sientists can do about Parkenson???

  • WOuld be if George Dubya would allow stem cell research. At the moment there are drugs like Dopamine which limtit the shaking but no cure because the research is "immoral". Thanks to the republicans, conservatives and the Christian right...

  • Michael is such a great actor and couragous person. He's living with Parkinson's disease and I hope he does another sitcom like Spin City. Maybe he'll ask me to be in it. I could be as funny as Paul was in that bathroom scene!! Michael J. Fox rules!!!!

  • Dear Michael you're AMAZING. U love you!

  • I hate to say it, but sometimes it is hard to watch Michael, particularly footage from the last few years. Perhaps it's part of wanting to help but not knowing how.

  • I know, it makes me upset that he's suffering and there's nothing anyone can do to really help.

  • they say that you can tell the quality of a man by the way he handles adversity; michael is a true giant by the way he has handled his parkinsons. i wish him the best in his pusuit of a cure.

  • michael is amazing man xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Such a great guy.
