Turning me on the The Jam was the only thing my ***hole British husband ever did for me. I bet he he doesn't even like this song because it's almost a punk song. He also hates Led Zeppelin and the Stones, and America. Idiot.
Dont actually care how many people hate or love them, How popular are they or How memorable and relevant they still are in british music scene these days.
emaccomputer- yeah no longevity what-so-ever eh? Nearly 35 years on and still going strong??? All that from lack of talent??? What were WE doing at 17 yrs old??
Each to their own, but suggesting lack of talent to a 17 year old making his mark on the british music scene and remaining relevant for another 35 yrs!!
Hope your Black Lace and ABC records have stood the test of time!
@TheBOOTLEGBeatles1 Actually predated them by a few years, "Slow Down" is a 12-bar blues written and performed by Larry Williams. Released as a single in 1958, it was a rhythm and blues hit that influenced the growing Rock & Roll movement of the time. It was released as a 7" single (45RPM). The A-Side was "Dizzy Miss Lizzy" and the B-Side was "Slow Down", which were both covered by The Beatles in 1965 and 1964, respectively.

Wow! What a display of total CRAP! No musicianship what so ever! It's so easy to play as loud and fast as you can so as to hide your lack of talent.
