The video`s only good is telling you about the angle of the grain, It neglected to give the viewer basic sizes of the butt brace to start with.

Holy CRAP that bandsaw has a huge blade. Cutting a radius is fantastically easier with more narrow blades. If you guys have something that massive on a bandsaw, cut relief slots along the radius. Or change the blade.
