there's no way the golden fox is that fast. part of the game's mechanics will not let the opponent get too far behind. Sometimes similar things happen in the Grand Prix. For example, as the Fire Stingray, using a speed boost, but not making up any ground on the Blue Falcon in front of you (it's happened to me).

hehe, dann erkläre ich es mal für dich, er sagt wenn du voll-speed hast und in die kurven willst, dann kurz vorm gas runtergehen :D was deine zeit angeht, 3min sind sehr gut. die zeit die hier steht ist NTSC. da du aus schland kommst hast du PAL-zeiten. wird ganz einfach gerechnet. 2:12,67 = 132,67 sec

das verhältnis ist

NTSC 3 : PAL 4

also

(132,67sec / 3) * 4 = 176,89secs

176,89secs = 2:56,89

also der rekord für europäer ist 2:56,89 ^^

@ghot123 They rapidly tap the gas button which slows you down by a couple of MPH which allows you to turn much easier. Try turning at full speed vs. a couple of mph slower and you see the difference. I'm still jaw dropped when I see these records.

nice matey. imo a shortcut gives you are around 1second advantage. depending on how to using the booster. so go on to break it. the main point on this track are the last hairpin curves where he always go through with nearly full speed.!!!

You skip off the track like that you explode and get a nice panning view of your smoking heap.

This is neat and all, but that jump is cheating.

PAL times get converted from NTSC ones due to different frame rates on the television sets required (Europe uses PAL, America/Japan use NTSC, not sure about elsewhere though of course you can play the alternate frame rate if you buy the necessary snes/cartridge/tv types). The conversion rate for F-Zero is 3/4, i.e. divide a PAL time by 4 and multiply the result by 3 to get an NTSC time.

I thought the N64 version was almost perfect. The only snag was the fucking restriction with only having the course generator on the 64DD! BASTARDS!!! Have to agree that the SNES version was great too. It set the benchmark.

you can buy a 64 DD to have the track builder. It's expansive but if you like the game and like create your level it's a must have. I have bought one last year and I play with it almost each day. It's really enjoyable. And do not wish a rom or a wii port it will never come I gess. :)
