and here is his own son, who has spent his entiore life trying to emulate his beloved father, playing his ass off in a tribute for his dad, and I imagine strained for decades trying to do what came so natural for his dad, the rolling rambling heavy footed HUGE double bass sounding right foot power of Bonham.that and his shuffle changed the entire nature of rock music forever,to this day all drummers remain attempting to learn from those sounds he produced,
his stylings became the foundation of modern rock music, and they left it in the durdge of the downmix, why? surely it wasnt because he couldn't pull it off, he certainly can could and still does.shame to me though. wish I couldda been there.musta been an amazing event.although from watching it I think Planty was so overwhelmed and actually annpoyed at th crows singing drowning out his own performance that he most certainly

Rock music has a slew of awesome, steller bands. The thing is......most, if not ALL of those bands would give their first born child to have been a member of LED ZEPPELIN!
to me it sound fuckin' good, if I you want "perfect" stuff listen to the record. It'd be awesome just for the fact that THREE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BEST BAND EVER are playing.
i love the fact that everyone on here is saying how bad this sounds!!!! i mean give the guys a fucking break!!! 1st of all these guys are in theyre god dam 60,s and abused themselves for a long time, and this is only the 3rd time in 30 years page, plant and jones all played together!!! THIS IS JUST A WARM UP, theyre not gonna kill themselves in rehearsal for an empty stadium,, theyre gonna wait to give it all they got in the real show!!! and it will never sound the same without JOHN bonham!
@mrusa4440 I dunno about that... not saying anything bad about Bonham as a drummer of course, but, I can't see him as being too good a teacher per se...
Good notes and BAAAAD notes...was that actually John Paul Jones on bass fucking up incredibly badly??...around 1:50 on...oh, well, it's just a practice, no big deal, I guess...Page sounds good. "Comments held for uploader approval"? Gimme a fucking break...

is this tuned down? sounds like it.. no matter. still great! makes sense tho.. plant's vocal chords have obviously thickened with age and he probably can't hit those high notes from yesteryear. the guitar sounds kinda weird too.. still like i said. no matter. oh how I wish I could have been at the o2 for the reunion!
Yes, nobody does it better than Jason. I'm sure the Zepp pick him not only because his John Bonham's son but for his undenying talent.. I doubled that, hats of to Jason!
Hi semiLivedj - I was at the final performance in New York City At Madison Square Garden. It was tuesday, June 14th, the last time bonzo hit a drum in New York. EVER. And yes I HAD to reply to your post about Jason. I used to say he was a carbon copy of dad, years ago. But God love 'im, he's just not. Damn good and the ONLY man for the job. But not the special finess combined with heaviness and a certain intangible quality of his dad. Long live Bonzo and Led Fucking Zeppelin!
Ya know,The drums sound great,But they just dont have the ambience of Bonzo.I cant quite put my finger on it.Maybe its just the audio equipment.Or maybe its just the fact that he doesnt have his dads hands. Its the snare! I think,It just doesnt have something. But anyhow,Hats off to Jason.Im sure nobody knows any better than him.

Singers don't stress themselves in rehearsal on purpose.

Agreed. Noone knocks themselves out at rehersal esp vocals. Its all to do with getting the sound right for the live performance.

In 1969, drugs made this seem so much better. In 2007, Led Zeppelin sounds like a parody of itself.

@semiLivedj .....There's no heavy bottom....kinda shallow sounding, and for God's sake put away the cowbell...

@semiLivedj its missing the room mic sound. Also John's undupliacatable playing and style.
