There's two ways to get into the Gears 3 beta. Either buy the Bulletstorm Epic Edition or pre order Gears 3 at Gamestop. If you get Bulletstorm the beta starts for you on 4/18/11 and you get an exclusive flaming lancer animated skin for play one match before the week ends. If you pre order Gears 3 the beta starts for you on 4/25/11. Check this thread for all Gears 3 info as it comes out.

That's one of DICE's selling points. They made it clear Battlefield 3 would be released a year after Medal of Honor's Release, and also included with EA's pass upon purchasing the game that you'd get the beta invite. So for those of us that got that, there was no reason to get hyped since we'd have to wait a year anyways.

It is sad, it's a horrible marketing ploy and some developers are taking their supportive community for granted. This shit needs to stop.

The beta has still not been announced, and the game has supposedly been pushed into first quarter 2012, while they released a wii version of the game since then.
