  • Nice to see your still doing well, but you need to update that demo reel ;)

  • Yeah thats me

  • nuch respect from australia

  • watch?v=WRyOH9avLS4&feature=relmfu this weapon sound is better

    (machine gun)

  • They should have it in the next movie

  • Wait, why does it have an Imperial fists color scheme, but has markings of the White Scars, Dark Angels, and Skull Bearers Imperial chapters?

  • @RecoverRedeem In reality it's useless to have walking tanks. The legs are vulnerable, they are slow and they can easily loose their balance.

Plus first you have to find a nearly dead genetic manilpulated super warrior to pilote this thing.

  • @Azregah Dreadnoughts are more oversized power armour/life support than anything else. Of course this thing won't stand up to a hit from a Leman Russ or Predator Annihilator or anything like that, but that's not it's role.

  • It needs the first versions gun sound back, definitely, I checked the one on your site and that gun sound is way too wimpy as well lol

  • comand and conquer ?^^

  • gotta love the dreads. too bad the soldiers inside stay inside; i think i might go mad if the dreadnought had to be my body for the rest of my life.

  • @LightfeatherxX

    That's Chaos Dreadnoughts.

The Space Marines locked away in those machines are all mostly MAD!

  • @SinerAthin i no, i read up on it. thats why chaos use them in the front. and then when there out of battle they are securly shackled to make sure that they dont go on a rampage inside the base. all in all i think ide rather be a space marine dreadnought that was respected rather then locked away

  • omg.. the sounds maked me horny!

  • This video is better than the Ultramarines movie!! ;D

  • Apart from the sound (as a lot of people previously pointed out) it's an amazing work at making a dreadnought a beleiveable warmachine

  • @danielfm Thanks for the kind words! Btw I also just got a new mix of the sound. Check out the video description for a link. Let me know what you think.

  • @graysonchalmers The new sounds is a lot better, you got it spot on!

  • 2 people were in the range of fire :D

  • my farts sound like that assault cannon

  • wow..Crazy!!!

  • I like the sound of the Assault Cannon in your ver.1 video better; it sounded so bad ass!

    Keep up the excellent work!

  • did you make some postwork in after effects like Glow or some color filter?

  • bulllet out of its flamethrower again

  • @1996hubbard What flamethrower? It's got a stormbolter under it's powerfist (double barrels are clearly visible), and an Assault cannon on it's right arm.

There's no flamethrower on that dreadnought.

  • @1996hubbard

Uh, yeah....Dreadnought can take a Heavy Flamer or Storm Bolter under the Power Fist. If that was a HFlamer mounted right there, then yeah, you'd be right. That's a Storm Bolter :P

  • why shoot the bolter only one time? o.Ô

    but also nice work!!

  • sound effects were more robust in the pervious video. However, all in all, great.

  • This is top-form animation work, almost flawless.

The audio, on the other hand, really could use some rehashing. The Assault Cannon sounds like some piddly thing and the Storm Bolter is portrayed completely wrong. I would suggest poaching the sounds off of Dawn of War 2, but then you might get sued. >_<

Great work on everything else, though.

  • I think you messed up the storm bolter, it's supposed to be like an ultra-high rate of fire.

  • Dear santa because i was a good kid...

  • Honestly, the animations look superb. The only thing that I can fault here is the sound of the cannon - sounds far too weak and tinny in comparison to the roaring doomhose that it should be.

  • Liked it, but I liked the sound of the AC in the first version better

  • Don't delete the other one, I like it when people have stages of their work up.

  • Overall good, only fault was a hit strong enough to make it stumble didn't even leave a scratch

  • Ooh ooh, make an Ultramarines one! =D

  • Nice. Make a vid with him slaughtering Fallen left and right now! Ehehehehehe... For the Emperor!!!!! >=D

  • WOW! nice work AND IN HD!

  • System administrator's workplace

  • This is how the Ultramarine movie should have looked like and been (With a little more story and characters perhaps)

  • When you do improve it add some black stains, and smoke to the shoulder after the shell hits, it would look awesome.

  • Absolutely outstanding, i always come back to this piece of pure art and it allways looks amazing, massive inspiration

  • The sounds in the original video were better.

  • Holy shit even better

  • Meh. The old sound for the assault cannon was better. It actually sounded like it had heft to it. Now, it practically sounds like a popgun.

Excellent otherwise. If you toss in some battle damage from the direct hit, that'd help with the explosions feeling a bit...off.

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK ANGELS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Long time passed from the 1st time I've seen this animation but it's still impressive !

  • I thought your first dreadnought video to be ultimately epic and now I see this... I'm not sure though if I like what you've done with the sound. Sure, higher bitrate is good, but it sounds too clean now. Know what I mean? The engine running, the mechanical whirr, the chaingun fire, it all lacks a certain degree of roughness.

  • totally amazing, but the gun fire sounds a bit muffled

  • that flag makes it look better than in the v1 but i think the v1 sounds better.

  • This is a Great Animation video pal! the only thing that i dislike about the video is the scale of the dreadnought; compared to the foliage it looks like it is aproximately human sized, and dreads are 3 times taller than a human in the 40K universe.

    Waiting for more :)

  • YOU should be making the Ultramarines movie.

  • Animation itself is cool, I just think maybe a scorch after the impact would be cool...

annnd definetely some new sounds for the whole HD title :)

  • HD VIDEO IN YOUTUBE HD MAKES MY EYES BURN WITH BEAAUTTIFUUUULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • greates.......thing..........EVAR!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • This is actually pretty flipping amazing. Approximately how long did it take? and is there by any chance a free version of this software? :D

  • @OhSleeperGuitar It took around 4 weeks of work but thats spread out on an off over a few months. Some of this was a learning experience. And now even years later there are things I still want to change and improve. As for a free version of 3ds Max, check out the Autodesk website they have a 30 day trial of Max, and if your a student I think they give good discounts.

  • @graysonchalmers and people still wonder why ultramarines looks so bad.

  • @graysonchalmers students get a 3 year educational lisence for free

  • if you don't mind i just emailed this to relic :D (don't hate me if you dont want money but this is amazingly nice) don't forget you may refuse it but i prefer you dont

  • @MadFluffyster Nice! Thanks! I already work at Sony Online, but I think it would be awesome to work on a 40k game at some point in my career. ;) And I was a huge fan of there first game Home World. It had some awesome hand drawn cut scenes that have stuck in my head to this day.

  • @graysonchalmers Do you work for 40K now? because you model looks like the DoW 2 one lol

  • NO DELETE >:(

  • dont delite

    this is AWESOME

  • So cool!

  • maybe relic still need people for their warhammer 40.000 space marine project? you maybe need to send them an e-mail with this in it, you could get a lot of money!

  • don't delete, post a annotation sending them to this clip,

also, add a scratched map on the right shoulder, as well as smoke coming up after the hit

  • I approve.

  • fantastic

  • Awesome!

  • You're back!

  • Brilliant, has any major company like relic asked you to do cutscenes for them? 'Cause if not they dont know what they're missing out on.

  • Nothing like adding a bit of awesome sauce to an already great animation :D
