OMG I remember that heatwave..One story involved a Chicago woman who had fans in every room in her apartment. Her next door neighbor invited her to her place to stay because she had air-conditioning. But she refused & said that she would be fine w/her fans.
The next morning they found her dead of heat-stroke!
