I had to use iso61....i tired 222,223,249,250 and so on. 61 worked for me so i went with it. However, at the "end" i got error 2011 installing custom iso. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but any input would be great as i feel like I'm so close...yet soo far away :(

thanks allot i have been trying to get this working all night, even though every other thing i tried was very similar it didn't work but now it does, i can not use dvd to play backups only usb witch is ok with me also my wii was only bought 2 days ago and from what i have read there may not be a workaround for this tricky chip, also if people are having problems mounting from usb make sure the usb device is plugged in the bottom port only, this held me back for a wile anywho later and thank you

I found another tutorial and it worked fine. If you alreayd had homebrew originally then reformat your wii. I had to and then I used a tut I found and then worked. I still cant get the Wad manager to work right, but I got one that goes through bootmii and it works install .wads so yea. iono lol All I know it works and im happy

@anuvabbasketbal You probably have the new Wii with the new DVD drive that doesn't load CD-R disks. That basically means you're fucked by the means of being able to play burned DvD's, but you can still play ISO's via USB.

@hollygoelightly If you purchased your Wii with 4.0 firmware install there's high chance your Wii have D3-2 chip installed which not allow you to read burn DVD. The only way of telling if you have one is to open her up, but as this will invalidate your warranty you are better off trying to load DVDRs and if you just keep getting errors then it is a good indication that you have one.

@trexesteban nand file basically is your Wii backup file so in case something wrong with your Wii you could reset the way it is from the nand file. I think you should move the nand to your computer and delete it from your SD.

So, I tried to install NSMBW, on x2.4 on a DVD+R from Emtec, and when I launched it in Backup Launcher. I got teh error:

This seems to be a common problem. You should preferrably use Verbatim brand DVD discs since they seem to cause the fewest amount of errors. I got some read errors too when using cheap brandless discs, with a significant increase in error frequency when burning the discs at high speed.

So:

Step 1 - Use Verbatim discs

Step 3 - Do not burn at max speed, use 2x-4x at most.

This should effectively counter most reading errors.

Try playing the games from a USB or external HDD. I get the same error when i try to play game from DVD so I got a external HDD and every game works fine now.

Well all of this worked for me, BUT i get a DVD read error 1101 on Neo Gamma, used DVD-R, burned with IMGBurner on 2x and 4x speed, neither don't work.
