One correction: Etihad is the national airline of the UAE (since 2005?), even though in my opinion they are no where as good as Emirates and do not deserve that title especially because they're 3 times younger than Emirates.

That sounds very weird, casue Emirates its 10 times bigger than Etihad, Emirates its known worldwide by every person across the world. Emirates its one of the fastest growing companies in the world. Though its 4 star i think Emirates should be the national flight, not becasue of that becasue of the name too. Etihad is from Abdu Dhabi, Emirates from Dubai.

Yes, that is true. But, just to let you know that even though Abu Dhabi is not as well known as Dubai, it is the capital of the U.A.E. Therefore Etihad is the national carrier. Abu Dhabi is expanding at a phenominal rate and busy catching up to Dubai. Etihad is also expanding like crazy.
