  • Can you mow my lawn any time soon too? XD

  • It's kinda loud, get a fan controller or don't use a push/pull config.

  • @TortillaGaming

look at the cfm, and noise level

this is for a gaming rig. also i dont even have this setup anymore. i have 2 rx480 rads. on doing a push one doing a pull for my water cooling loop

  • @juggolo What are you planning to cool with 2 RX480 rads?

  • @TortillaGaming

look at my main pg then select th10 playlist

  • @TortillaGaming A diesel truck

  • awesome and >quiet<?! you're funny :D

  • noisy

  • @misva2rkon

    No really but ok

  • @juggolo Well they are not THAT quiet, but fairly quiet if this is a gaming pc. My criteria: If I can still hear it, too loud.

Not for my gamingrig of course, but that thing is not on that often.

  • @JustineBieberxoxo

    i water cool my pcs

  • What case do you put that in?

  • @DontClickMexD

    tj07

  • love the black couch,is it a foldout?

  • @sumaran72

    yes it is

  • @juggolo yea ive always thot about overclocking, but never really went for it. i just want my computer to last a long time. i think i have everything i'd need for it tho. amd phenom II x4 965 black edition stock@3.4ghz, mobo msi 790fx-gd70, corsair h50 cooler. i just don't know enough or have a reason to overclock i guess, lol

  • what is it exactly? what part of your computer? sorry, i just clicked the pic cuz i had no idea what it was

  • @SocRgy9

A radiator for water cooling a computer

  • @juggolo OH! gotchya. thanks man

  • @SocRgy9

yep its all about overclocking when you water cool a comp. Intel 970 at 4.5ghz

  • what's the point? you have a 9 fpi rad. You won't get any extra performance.

You would be better off with a high fpi rad.

  • @siiimonz

Not using this with a push pull. I have two rx480 with one push. The other rad a pull

  • hello merry xmas and happy new year from where did you buy the ports ?

  • @tarekhaig

    Newegg

  • That's pretty quiet for something that pushes that much air.

  • make sure to buy removal dust filters, they do sound pretty quiet for 8 fans wow good work man

  • i wonder how this would perform with delta fans. idk if it would make your pc hover but it would sure make your pc ice cold haha.

  • @longmage4

    There would be no point

  • @juggolo Thats a other story.

  • @longmage4

    ??

  • @longmage4 yea... and fucking loss of sleep for anyone around 100 yards because of the noise. LOL

  • In your tj07, did you put your fans blowing the hot air OUT from the case or IN? :-)

Really awesome videos btw, I think you sound kinda nervous, but if you let that go, get a good intro, and be a little bit more relaxed you will be in the computernerds big-boy league.

  • @TheSourcreammonkey

I would say nervous but excited. I dont know how to make good intros need to find that some does.

the tj07 case has a mesh side on both panels.

So one set of fans was pushing then the other set was pulling the air outside of the case

  • >externally mounted

  • @muffemod

?? this rad wasn't externally mounted. It was mounted internally at the bottom of the a tj07 case

  • @juggolo was in reference to nicktlloyd's comment.

  • @muffemod

Oh make sure when you do post a comment you direct it towards the person you are talking to.

  • An XSPC RX480 is designed for low speed fans, sub-1200, due to it's low number of FPI (fins per inch) which is only 8. It excels with low speed, quiet fans.

As for those talking air coolers, not even the same ball game.

  • @ScytheNoire

Actually the 1450 rpm fans work work best. I just got the higher speed cause I could at it was cheaper at the time. I got them for 12 bucks each I think

  • @juggolo

I'm about to externally mount this same setup for use with my loop. I'm just curious, did you try mounting the pushers with a decoupling gasket and if so did it make any difference? Also, do you think it would be a good idea to put a small filter over the pushers to keep dust out of the rad? I figure with the extra RPMs this rad doesn't need I could pull enough air even if I put on a filter and it would save me from having to clean out the rad quite as often.

  • @nicktlloyd

I dont use dust filters. Also you dont need a push pull on this kind of rad. Just one or the other.

  • @juggolo

Have you tested temp differences between push, pull & push/pull config? I'm just curious because I need every degree I can get. My quad GPU's are hungry little buggers.

  • @nicktlloyd

Doing a pull set up from what i have seen will yield better temps. My current th10 build still a work in progress has two rx480 rads. One is doing a push, the other is doing a pull. One ie dedicated to my two gtx590s other is for my i7 970

  • Nice :) I have the same laptop haha

  • I have 170€. Should I buy 4 Gentle Typhoon AP14's + NB BlackSilent Pro PK-2 + SteelSeries Siberia V2, and SteelSeries Ikari Optical? I will lose all my money, and my mom and dad would think a bit where did I lost my money.

  • @Rapagangsta

if there head phone i would just get the atha700 or sennhieser 595s. it all depends on your priorities

  • Only 50 something cfm's a piece? Am I missing something, cause that isn't very much.

  • @pilotenhandboek

Fans are meant for these kinds if rads. Static pressure and cfm and noise level is good

  • @juggolo Ah, Well my little rad wouldn't need anything like that (H50)

  • @pilotenhandboek

Any high end cooler can beat that such as the Venemous X

  • @juggolo Well of course, A H50 isn't really high end (just better than a stock heatsink)

  • @pilotenhandboek

yeah its weak. 1850RPM should push >100CFM i have fans that push 78CFM (i think) at 1200RPM (again, i think)

  • @TheNewbpowner123

    at 5.2ghz

  • @TheNewbpowner123

I takes a really good sandy to reach above 4.8/4.9ghz without going out of 24/7 safe voltage rage.

But if you had a good enough chip you could probably run it on air.

  • @Intanius

With Sandy bridge you just need to have a high end cooler. The rad is cooling the Intel 970

  • Where'd you buy the long screws to install all the fans on it?

  • @theconscienceofyou

You can get 6/32 , 1 1/2inch long screws at any hardware store

  • @juggolo Thanks a lot. Found the right size at an R/C shop nearby.

  • Thanks for the vid. I didn't quite realise how massive these are. How are you going to mount it? Not sure if my Koolance bracket can take the load though I'm only planning to use four fans.

  • @nikanj

I used a tj07 case at the time and put the rad at the bottom of the case. Since the making of this video I have upgrades the case, the mb, and processor. I am using a th10 case with two rx480s that holds the rad internally, no brackets needed

  • Haha that thing looks beast!!!

    You thing you can run 2500k/2600k @ 5.2ghz 24/7??

  • @TheNewbpowner123

Dont know dont have those chips

  • @Ashleyuk1984

It all depends on your setup. Ambient temps matter to. You can just do a push or pull. Experiment on which setup works best to.you

  • these fans are the best of silent typs, tho u still got a pump thad cud be noisy ;)

  • @louwn

the pump is not loud at all. the fans are louder than the pump

  • Some shrouds will further help with noise and airflow. Fans don't really work at their best when they are right up against the rad like that. I would recommend it if space isn't a concern.

  • @thisissoclever

Cooling is fine with just the fans no reason have have shrouds taking up space. The fans.are good for the cfm, noise level, and static pressure, these rads are meant for low to med speed fans.1850rpm.is overkill but to me there is no.such thing. I can use 1450rpm.and still be fine. If I has the hw labs gtx480 I would use panaflos, deltas, san aces, or kaze 120x120x38.

  • Are these silent?

I have Xigmatek CLF LED fans and they're rated at <20dB's, but it sounds like 30-40dB's!

  • @Rapagangsta

    Yes

  • @Rapagangsta I use xigmatek fans, Are you using the black and orange ones with the white led lights? I have 11 in my PC and to say they're rated at 20dB or less they're stupidly loud!

  • @almighty151986 You mean they're loud or not? :) IMO they're FREAKING LOUD! I have Crystal Clear Green LED fans, 3 of them thankfully. :D

  • Where did you get those fan junctions?

  • @snedie69er

    Coolerguys.......com with just one.

  • @juggolo

    Thanks.

is this the correct one /840556026983.html ?

  • @snedie69er

    Should be sunbeam fan port

  • why are you using high speed fans for a radiator that is optimized for low speed fans?

  • @mustafakhish

Noise to cfm ratio is good. Static pressure is good as well. These fans work great on RX series rads. Go to overclock....net with just one . And you will.see

  • @juggolo oke, but can you change the RPM of these fans with a fancontroller??

  • @mustafakhish

You can but I see no reason to I'm not using a fan controller

  • D the fans run at max with the multi fan power port?

  • @kogarona

    yes

  • is there a large difference in temperature between push/pull compared to just push?

  • @TheGreenSmoke

I would say 2-5 degree diff. All depends on the setup

  • I have a 240mm rad with a high FPI ratio. do you think 2 of these GT fans will suffice in a push configuration? I'm looking for a fan to replace the coolermaster fans it has now

  • @TheGreenSmoke

Who is the make of the rad

  • Stealth GTS 240 Black Ice

  • @TheGreenSmoke

those are meant for highspeed fans. like panaflos

  • Killer rad nice fans keep vids coming!

  • Man, I need me a couple of those fan connector hubs for the future. Gonna have to look them up.

  • Looking good Juggolo. I have me a RX360 rad that is going in my Obsidian 800d.

  • @CustomWP

LianLi are good cases. I got this case from overclocknet from a member who was selling it. How much modding would you have to do to make this kind of rad fit in your case

  • hella beast. i would 5 star but youtube got all lame and now I can only thumbs up.

  • @mhaneline

Yeah I agree, I think the thumbs up means 5 stars:)

  • @juggolo Well that officially trumps my two loops. I wish that beast would fit in my Corsair Obsidian 800D, but it's a no-go. I can't wait to see it all finished, and at the same time, I'm jealous ;p

  • Nice stuff.

i really like the saying: "go watercooling for a 'silent' system" :)

  • @b0ss6769

Exactly this is the main reason why I chose this rad and fan combination instead of the gtx480. It would require high speed fan= loud. Rx480 low- med speed= quiet:)

  • very nice but I would have done Yate Loons. My 1600 RPM Yates push 77CFM and cost ~$3.60

  • @batch450r

They are good for a budget fan. The decibels are really loud compared to the typhoons. The typhoons are great. I get the best of three worlds good cfm, static pressure, and they are quiet. which made my fiance happy .

  • those are awesome!

  • so... many..... fans =D

that is a huge rad btw

  • Cool fans.

  • So what's going to be cooled by your new 480 rad?

  • @xAKIMbOx

i7 of course and my graphics cards.
