I liked this cause I've had to fix so many macs with issues (virii, crashing trying to run games etc) most of them caused by idiotic programming deciscions.
No not all pc games run on a mac, often you have to dual boot the system for them to run properly due to the limited resources on a mac and even then, they are generally so far behind with graphics cards why would you?
PC for gaming, 3d and all the other cpu/gpu intensive processes, mac for video & sound editing software

I love how you made this in Windows Movie Maker. The subtitles are really pro looking. It exported in a really glossy high quality too, really nice to watch. Wait, how many times did it crash during the process of making this? You must really be dedicated to your Windows to be so patient with it :)

Firstly Macs do not get affected by the same virus' that PCs do because of the way that the Mac handles user permissions. That doesn't mean that Macs can't be affected by virus', it just means that a virus would have to be written in a RADICALLY different way in order to affect a Mac. Since virtually all virus' out there are written to target Windows, that leaves the Mac pretty much Virus free!
@Eksynyt its not because hackers dont care about them, when a program is run in a mac it isnt "Executed" and files arent copied around the system, the program remains within its own package, so a traditional viruis such as a trojan works by discizing itself as a program and when run copys files to key operating system locations which are then executed again and so on. so if a viruis was created it could only infect within a specific program and not cause harm to the entire system.
@Eksynyt and as for them not being able to plays these games, its not that there unable to run them its simply because there not been released for the mac, as far as graphics and visual representation goes a mac is actually superior so could run the game just as well as a pc, the games just arent released for it, just like final cut and various other programs arent released for pc, purchase a platform based on what you want a computer for. (i am a pc user, and not just a defensive apple fan boy)

Yes it does have virus, no there are no anti virus for mac that i know of, but there are very little mac viruses. I can make a windows virus, but I never knew how to make one for mac. There are very little virus for macs. Like, why make a virus to infect one computer if you can make one to infect ten?

I would not a an Apple Mac PC because what i intend to do, because what i want is do study at TAFE for an IT Multimedia and games design and much of the the software wouldn't work on a mac.

Because of the fact that both Linux and Macs are built around a solid Unix architecture, it is a lot harder to create a Virus for those two systems. Believe it or not, but people have tried to create lots of viruses for them, and some have succeeded... but it is very hard and most have failed. Do bear in mind that creating a proper virus for a Linux Computer is difficult, hence the reason why most of the servers in the world are run by Linux.
Nobody programs viruses for macs or linux because nobody gives a shit about macs or linux. It has nothing to do with the operating system.
Servers often run on Linux because Linux does not require much CPU or memory to operate itself, and is more stable than windows in general. It's good for servers because more processing power can be devoted to the server.
I also find it incredibly ironic there's a 16 year old criticizing others and calling them morons and uneducated, when his "facts" have been nothing but wrong since the moment he opened his mouth. You should just stop now, while you're behind.
I can't believe there are people who actually believe Macs are invulnerable to viruses and malware. Wow. Just... wow. The marketshare is dominated by PCs, and therefore stands to reason the majority of viruses and malware will be written for them. A virus is just a program. No reason why you cannot write one for Macs, Linux, XP, etc. Fewer are written for Macs and Linux for the simple fact there's very little to gain for doing so. There's just no incentive.
Well, that and the fact that it's extremely difficult to write a piece of malware for the mac platform that is capable of self replication and doesn't need the user to activate it (a virus), let alone run through an entire install process.
Here's one thing about Mac and PC, most people have PC (a lot more than Mac) and lot's of people change from PC to Mac, and very few change from Mac to PC. The reason why most viruses only work for PC is because theres a lot more PCs than Macs, and the more Macs and Mac users there are, the more viruses will work for Mac.

I love vista (after updates) and mac looks pretty cool. I love ubuntu linux as well it is simple and very customizable. Any OS will do as long as it doesn't slow my computer down too much and can let me hear music while I do everything else. Some of you treat Apple Macs like they are holy in the religion of macs or something XD. Overall Macs are overated sure they look nice but the compatibility is terrible. Apple enslaves you easily with their shiny buttons.
Also, I'll just throw in my two cents to end this... XP SP3 is FAIL, Vista is good (early drivers sucked, but runs better than XP now), OS X takes ages to load programs and Linux is overall fail. (I've used Ubuntu and Fedora)
Pathetic argument. My PC cost as much as an iMac, yet is faster than a Mac Pro. And if I had the money for a Mac Pro, I'd rather use it for an even more powerful computer.

Yes it would be logical to continue using a Mac I guess. My main fault though, is not that people use Macs, but that people have faulty claims on why mac is better than PC. You are one of them.
1. the PC industry is run by no company, therefore, you free yourself from a vertically integrated monopoly, which is bad for the consumer (IE replacement parts for a Mac are only available through mac and cost much more)
2. Looks are subjective. Yes they look nice. But there are PCs that look nice too.
3. Better build quality? LOL. What do they do? Tighten their screws harder? Ever since Macs switched to Intel, they're the same shit as a PC in terms of hardware.
4. My PC has no anti-virus/firewall. It also doesnt have any viruses. Hell, if you stop watching shady porn sites, you basically have nothing to fear in terms of security. In fact, OSX has more security holes than vista. I'll provide my source upon request.
5. How is Apple support better? Because you have to PAY for it?
OKay, I had a Dell Inspiron for a while, and tbh, it was a piece of shit. There are less loose parts in Macs and they are generally better-secured (so yes LOL, tighter screws :D). And yes, Intel has degraded Macs somewhat in terms of quality compared to PC's but there is one over riding piece of evidence that YOU brought up. MACS CANNOT GET VIRUSES - WINDOWS CAN. I think there was ONE case where a minor bug was discovered and Apple released an update within hours. Would never happen in a PC!

i can guarantee there are pretty much no famous or SANE musicians that use macs, i am a musician myself and it is clear to me that garage band is no were near a professional recording or music making tool.
no sane musician would use garageband... they'd use Logic Studio. the same goes for making movies... pros don't use iMovie, they use Final Cut Studio. and last but not least pro photographers don't use iPhoto, they use Aperture.
Apple's built in programs are great for nonprofessionals, but no profesional would ever use them if they were to use a mac.

I'm a musician too, and if GarageBand was pro, then Apple would've never bought Logic and make it a mac-exclusive program. I know ALOT of music writers and producers, and only TWO use macs. The programs (bar Logic and GarageBand) used are also on PC. Same applies for video and photo. My point is, why spend so much for average hardware, instead of getting a superior PC...
I've never used OS X much, but I never felt the need to, with all my progs on windows.

I can't believe there are people who actually believe Macs are invulnerable to viruses and malware. Wow. Just... wow. The marketshare is dominated by PCs, and therefore stands to reason the majority of viruses and malware will be written for them. A virus is just a program. No reason why you cannot write one for Macs, Linux, XP, etc. Fewer are written for Macs and Linux for the simple fact there's very little to gain for doing so. There's just no incentive.

Here's one thing about Mac and PC, most people have PC (a lot more than Mac) and lot's of people change from PC to Mac, and very few change from Mac to PC. The reason why most viruses only work for PC is because theres a lot more PCs than Macs, and the more Macs and Mac users there are, the more viruses will work for Mac.

I love vista (after updates) and mac looks pretty cool. I love ubuntu linux as well it is simple and very customizable. Any OS will do as long as it doesn't slow my computer down too much and can let me hear music while I do everything else. Some of you treat Apple Macs like they are holy in the religion of macs or something XD. Overall Macs are overated sure they look nice but the compatibility is terrible. Apple enslaves you easily with their shiny buttons.

I prefer Macs because they are easier to use and are run by a company that doesn't get progressively worse. They also look nicer and are of generally better build quality. Yes it would be logical to continue using a Mac I guess. My main fault though, is not that people use Macs, but that people have faulty claims on why mac is better than PC. You are one of them.
1. the PC industry is run by no company, therefore, you free yourself from a vertically integrated monopoly, which is bad for the consumer (IE replacement parts for a Mac are only available through mac and cost much more)
2. Looks are subjective. Yes they look nice. But there are PCs that look nice too.

OKay, I had a Dell Inspiron for a while, and tbh, it was a piece of shit. There are less loose parts in Macs and they are generally better-secured (so yes LOL, tighter screws :D). And yes, Intel has degraded Macs somewhat in terms of quality compared to PC's but there is one over riding piece of evidence that YOU brought up. MACS CANNOT GET VIRUSES - WINDOWS CAN. I think there was ONE case where a minor bug was discovered and Apple released an update within hours. Would never happen in a PC!

@ItsSkippa What apple advertise is "an operating system that cant get viruses" which is true as a traditional virus would be an executable file that would copy various other files to parts of the key operating systems file locations, where as with a mac when a program is run it isn't "executed" files arent copied to various locations of the system like windows, so a type of virus could infect a specific program only and not the entire system, thats what the anti-virus is for!

no sane musician would use garageband... they'd use Logic Studio. the same goes for making movies... pros don't use iMovie, they use Final Cut Studio. and last but not least pro photographers don't use iPhoto, they use Aperture.
Apple's built in programs are great for nonprofessionals, but no profesional would ever use them if they were to use a mac.

I'm a musician too, and if GarageBand was pro, then Apple would've never bought Logic and make it a mac-exclusive program. I know ALOT of music writers and producers, and only TWO use macs. The programs (bar Logic and GarageBand) used are also on PC. Same applies for video and photo. My point is, why spend so much for average hardware, instead of getting a superior PC...
I've never used OS X much, but I never felt the need to, with all my progs on windows.

hmm, i guess i would appreciate it more if i didnt speak german...it's kinda confusing and not that funny anymore if you hear the original text speaking of holding forks and subtitles speaking of an imac with a touch screen ;-)))
