  • @TheBombshell666 holy crap you are related to that Joker? That is awesome. I have enjoyed reading about Van Meters antics. Is it true that Homer and Pierpont didnt get along that well? I am not related to any of the gangsters but my Charles Floyd gave my great gma like 80 dollars worth of grocerys in exchange for a few days lodging. It doesn't sound like much but back then it was a lot and my family might not have survived without it. They said he was the nicest guy and a perfect gentlemen.

  • im glad to here tht you like the movie i loved this film excellent!

  • Great movie. I agree with you, man.

  • sorry great movie but christian bale is the most overatted actor living today..overacts way too much

  • @aboynamedmass, It's okay to think that way, I believe Megan Fox is the most overrated female in movies today.

  • yea i agree to i jus saw the trailer to her new movie and whoever cast her should be fired and never be able to cast again period

  • Well unfortunately shes playing Catwoman in Christopher Nolan's next Batman so prepare to be forced to blind and deafen yourself, I know I am.

  • @EyeJelly, That was only an online rumor that was squashed by Megan Fox's P.R. rep. Megan Fox isn't playing Catwoman.

  • Phew, aww man thank you so much for clearing that up for me, I was worried it was going to be a wrap for the best Batman movie series ever.

  • @EyeJelly, Yeah, Nolan already expressed that he does not want Catwoman to be a character in the next movie which is a bit strange seeing as how The Dark Knight was following the story The Long Halloween and chronologically The Dark Victory is the next story. But that is more Harvey Dent and the mafia's story than anybody else's.

  • I disagree. In my opinion Christian Bale is one of the most underrated living actors today.

Johnny Depp is one of the most overrated actors today. He is a good actor but not as great as people make him out to be.

  • @americanpsycho28 Every character Depp does is different from the other. He's a very unique actor. Im sorry you dont see that.

  • completely!

  • I love it 2.

Dont he say "Im John Dillinger i rob THE banks"??? idk

  • best review of this movie i've ever seen.

i agree with you on everything. and the slow

parts went by pretty fast for me, just because

i wanted to see more but i love this movie so

much. john dillinger does "have balls!" (:

and johnny depp played him so wellll.

  • Best comment I have received on this review, thank you so much.

  • this is a good topic, who is the scariest cop(most believable)?

so im thinkin maybe josh brohlin in American Gangster.even though i dont like what he did to his wife back in the day...

  • Yeah, Josh Brolin is a great actor. One cop I would never turn my back on was Matt Damon in The Departed, who did he not screw over in that movie?

  • Dude the scariest cop will allways be

    dirty harry

  • Charles Bronson in "Death Wish" was also pretty intense, I'd like to go back and count how many perps he murdered in those movies.

  • Dude i loved the film, i always loved the story of John Dillinger, Michael mann told it sooo well. Great acting and great effects. Totally not boring. I cant decide between this and heat for my fav film.

  • @ Rubberpencilman: I completely agree with you that this film is not boring in anyway. I was shocked to hear that one of the viewers of it in my film class said he fell asleep while watching it. I thought to myself "I wish I could fall asleep to the sound of a machine gun."

  • I have no idea why you would want to or could fall asleep during it. The Thompson's were so damn loud. It was unreal. Totally agreed with your review man. Even the slow parts were good. gave ur vid the big 5*

  • This movie is boring

I could hardlly stay walk up atel it finsh

  • What do you think Michael Mann could have done differently to make it not so boring for you?

  • I agree with the sound bit damn those things sounded real and the gun fights were amazingly done and had a certain feeling about them that gave off an authentic sense. however too slow and it was boring.

  • really? this movie had no plot and was repetative...horrible movie, couldve ended half way in. like the actors though

  • The plot is American history in the 1930's. Just say "I don't like history!"

  • yeah, john dillenger was robbing banks in chicago while king kong was tearing up new york. pure history

  • Public Enemies was awsome..

the only bad thing was Christian Bale

he is a suck ass actor

  • great review

  • Damn I have to see this movie! My friend didnt like it but who cares I still want to see it. Great review man!

  • he DIDNT LIKE IT!!!!! HOW DARE HE!!! THE MOVIE WAS AMAZING!!!

  • Oh my god, I felt so awkward in film class as a couple people were saying that Public Enemies was incredibly boring. One went on to keep on saying "I fell asleep," what a sloth. If you can't even stay awake at the theaters, there is something wrong. Especially when a Thompson machine gun is going off.

  • holy crap i know! Those thompsons were INCREDIBLE!!!! they were so loud it felt like you were THERE!

  • i havent seen this movie but im not casue its a movie and movies r ment to be heard not watched-Logan Willams 1954

  • Cut your eyes out and get a seeing eye dog to take you to the movies.

  • lmao.kudos

  • Fij went to Ice Age 3 instead of this move. Can you believe it ?

  • This Movie seems Fucking AWESOME!!

  • Can't wait to see this!

  • Purvis fucked up one guy. At least he saved billie.

  • great review mate! im wating for this film to be in theaters for a few weeks so i can pay less and have the theater to myself

  • my favorite scene was of course the forest scene cause that had some of the best gun fights ever

  • Right before they flee from the cabin, seeing all those bullet holes surrounding the Dillinger gang, incredible.

  • yeah seriously that shotgun was loud as hell it just sound so perfect

  • Oh my god, I wanted to say it, I was hoping you might point out that lawmen's monster shotgun and you did. That was incredible sounding! If that wasn't the most nerve wrecking sound to hear coming from behind you, I don't know what is.

  • lol and kreyg is right about John Dillinger having balls , just going into the police place as the most wanted men ever wow

  • wanta see it, thanx bro

  • awesome review man. agree with everything you said. And yes I did say He did have BALLS. a HUGE set too

  • Great Review! Im going to go see it!

  • Right on, I'm pumped to see this one... I'll probably go this weekend. Great review as always man.

  • LOL! Why are you timing yourself? Just edit your movie, silly man!

  • im going to see this tomorrow. Cant wait

  • If its as good as you say, this movie may be Oscars` worthy. I love machine guns, speccialy when they kill people.

  • Bale and Depp in the same movie ??

    Whaaaaaaaat ?

Bad Lieutenant was an awesome movie. That cop was very troubled. I loved the scenes where he kept losing money and he was flipping out on his radio.

I might check this out, broseph !! Sounds pretty tight.

  • I loved that scene too, firing his pistol in the car and angrily crying and having a drug-fueled tantrum. I love how terrifying of a cop Christian Bale plays as Melvin Purvis, he is so damned violent. I think you will love it.
