Yes, but the point was that Bathsheba only wanted Oak back when she was truly desperate for something from him, not because she loved him, it was only oak acting like a man that brought her back down to earth again, without the man she would of lost her flock, which means she would of lost everything, so thats what i meant when women will allways need men.
Poor bold wood,if only she hadn't sent that letter.

Boltwood's as weird as Bathsheeba. He spoke of her more as an item than a person. Gosh! She only gave him a silly letter and he goes nutzo!

Shes a coward, she wont even face him properly to explain, she certainly would fit in very well today.
"I'm only a girl." LOL! Say no more.

This chick is really pissing me off. Can't make up her mind who she likes and plays head games with the old man. She would fit in well here in 2009.

I totally agree...Bathsheba needed Oak for selfish reasons...and he needed her - to allow him to love her. He was only half a man without her.

Well, she'll just tell anyone who'll listen that she's in love with Troy.

@austengirl73 it is obvious he has been very hurt and has become desperate in his old age. Quite normal.
