If his legs were just a few inches forward when they touched, he would have been doing a loop, not being able to pull the nose down. Very lucky, and well pulled off!
I have over 1,500 flights (training hill type not included) and way over 2,000hrs flying time, and have not been flying for the past 8years, (well, 1x).

esp. landing in strong winds. can be terrifying in the great pacific north west. aka, dirty winds....not smooth like you are so LUCKY to have!!!!!
