Hey roonjazz & muff: u r y ppl say utbe is #1 4 mst idiotic commentaries. Not only irrelevant 2 excllnt film/scene but ignrnt! Do u morons no how 2 srch "WTC" 2 post idiocies? Now, THIS 93 film, imo, ws the mst u-rtd of 90's! Addtnlly, shood hve rcvd "Bst Pctre, Bst Dirctr(P.Weir), & Bst Actr(Bridges-in the GREATEST prfmnc of career-yes, bttr than "Dude", etc.).Rosie Perez ws nmntd 4 Bst Spprtng Actrss & was ROBBED-her prfrmnce ws mstrful-best of HER career. Weir shws us how fleeting life cn b,
Rosie Perez was magnificent in this movie, I haven't seen someone play the role of a mother who lost their child so extremely well, my goodness, every scene that she is on you just wanna hug her and help her. Excellent.
@markdangerman Fearless was made 8 years before 9/11. The laxity & complacency of airline security procedures allowed the 9/11 terrorists to "succeed" with such ease.
It wasn't a Bush (or other)-led conspiracy - it was a random bunch of homicidal, fanatical, nutters & sheer laziness on the part of US internal flight security. My dad used to say that catching a US internal flight was just like catching a bus. Scarier than any conspiracy theory, believe me. 2 of my friends worked in the WTC.
@MUFC127 Yes, that WAS a controlled demolition, arranged AFTER the morning's events. The structure of the building had been irreparably compromised. It was deemed safer to bring it down under controlled conditions, rather than let the inevitable happen randomly, which would have killed hundreds of rescue workers and potential survivors. Once 7 had been safely taken down, the rescue efforts could begin properly.
@MUFC127 I agree - under normal circumstances. But 9/11 was NOT a normal circumstance. There were those with the sheer b*lls to risk their lives doing the emergency rigging for the greater good. At the time, no-one knew that there were not, alas, 100s & 100s of survivors waiting to be dug out of the WTC 1 & 2 rubble. The emergency riggers going into WTC7 believed that they were risking their lives to save those hundreds. And the WTC was already going to fall; they just chose when & how.
Pay careful attention to what the stewardesses are doing from 1:26 - 2:10. They are preparing the passengers for their journey to the next world (but Max and Carla do not arrive).
This is the most spiritual movie ever made. But, you must be ripe.

So, on the one hand he says there is no God. But then he also blames God for taking his Dad.
You can't blame something that doesn't exists. Logical fallacy.

No wonder Rosie got an Oscar Nomination for this role. She embodied the character so well and showed her diversity as an actress.

@RoonJazz What about the controlled demolition of Building 7?

@RoonJazz The only problem with your theory, it takes WEEKS to rig a building with explosives for a controlled demolition.
