@jbw2595 Yeah I uploaded this 3 years ago. These days I do just play my actual drums. Sometimes I'll load up Rock Band and put it into Practise mode, so it plays you drumless tracks of thousands of songs, it's cool.

@gac3la Yeah back when I actually made and posted this video only RB1 was out and there was no such thing as a cymbal expansion. I had to drill holes in the RB1 kit and wire in my home made cymbals myself.

These days I play on a full Roland kit using on of Seth's midi>usb adapters.

6 months later I had some spare cash so I picked up a Roland kit, its awesome. Still play it all the time.

trust me... after buying cymbals for my drums set i figured out that it just complicates things way to much... cuz it makes it so u have to think about what ur hitting rather than just doing it. especially with ur left pedal. ur never gonna get to the point where that will actually benefit you. its just to complicated. it may not sound complicated but it is.

Thats what makes it so fun! Don't give up on your cymbals because it can be so much more fun to hit them at the right times. Just play a song a couple of times and you should be able to pick up what is what soon enough.

yeah. I have mine set up like that, and my good crash (the higher one ) is on the right. It gets kind of confusing because the crappy, 3 tom set at my school has only one crash and it's on the left. I'm gonna ask my instructor at some point if I can just use my set. Mine's way cooler.

As for the actual kit concept, I think it's pretty good, although I thought I recalled someone making something insanely similar by modding an actual drum kit to work with the game...but I could be wrong.

i envisioned having a snare closer to me too, except instead of adding one I wanted to cut out the pad from the stand and move it outward and have its own stand. All i'd have to do is extend the wires. Then after that i'd buy a 3 pack cymbal set.

but lately I found my drums started DC right when the song starts, I'd have a freestyle fill, i'd hit a few notes but not start overdrive, then start playing the beat but that's when it DC's, right when I start playing thats so fcked

for a 2 bass pedals get a two way jack in a best buy the ones that you connect ur headphones to then you connect one bass pedel on pne side and the other on the other side

Actually, that doesn't work because the RB stock pedal use magnetic reed switches to send the signal when the circuit is closed.

If you have 2 plugged in then the second wont work if the first is pushed down, which makes it a little pointless.

Also, in this video the second pedal is used as a hi hat pedal, not another bass kick.
