@whorethrower Not for that price, IMO. You can probably find a box of games for that price at auction sites all over...or just other thrift stores even. Without hunting, I managed to double many of the 2600 games I had by simply thrift store & garage sale browsing. And eventually I was one of those selling my 2 consoles and a box of games for virtually nothing. Not everybody wants money -- some just want to not carry the stuff around anymore. Good luck.

Beer and Adventure sounds fun, I disagree. It makes the game more funny, I don't see how beer can describe the chalice you have to bring back to your yellow castle. Anyway, great video, let it pass.

i grab the bat then have the bat grab the sword, then you have an extended sword and its very difficult for a dragon to get close to you.

I love this game it was the great granddaddy of all modern Rpgs.

If you press Reset just as you take the Chalice into the Golden Castle the victory music will mess up and sound weird

Cheapest game win ever is possible in one of the modes with the bat- though it's extremely random and takes no real skill. I was eaten by a dragon just inches from the chalice (yes, I thought it was a duck-demon for the longest time). Bat picked up dragon and dropped it off with me still inside its stomach inside my castle and picked up the key I left there. I was on the phone and saw the bat return with the chalice, cuing the victory theme. Victory from beyond the grave- or intestines as it was

Then it was canceled and returned as the Classic Game Room HD in 2007.

Once I was carrying the arrow thing (think it was in a dark maze) when I was ambushed by a dragon. Somehow I managed to drop the arrow (panicked) and was eaten... at the exact moment it impaled itself on the arrow and killed itself... so I was eaten, but the dragon killed itself at the same time and I (of course) had to reset because I was trapped inside it's dead carcass... wow.

That's fine, but how do you fair on a higher difficulty with that flying bat/bird thing. This game got crazy when you see the weird bat/bird fly in and drop a dragon in your view, only to fly off with your ladder/bridge. I hated it for crazy moments like that, yet loved it for being so crazy like that.

Adventure was one of the first multi-screen "adventure" games. I remember being so thrilled you could explore between planes. I remember you could also glitch the walls to different positions using the on/off switch on the console and how you could be eaten by the dragon and be taken on "tour" when the bat steals the dragon with you inside of it.
